You are my friend…. Because

You are my friend because you show me kindness

I can laugh with you without answers of random blindness.

You are quirky and smart

But don’t get me wrong? You do make me laugh even when ripped a fart.🤣

But you are light minded 

You pray to God as I do too, 

You want to help, yet it’s peace we imbue. 

You are fun

And you are subtle 

You are direct to the point, and you stick to your decisions without getting in a muddle.

You are random 

And you are too are humble when you are weak,

You are a blessing from God, from the elevation we seek.

You need you first

Speak to God

The best conversation you will have,

Feel peaceful in your soul, 

the heart of attainment is balanced, nor fast or slow.

Find your own company first 

Then speak to the people who love,

They are people who want nothing but the best for you,

Speak to the Lord first, that passage you should initially ensue. 

Speak to God

Your first connection within,

If you haven’t got a big family, remember the Father is always there

No chance feeling lonely or the need of more people who are related 

This is a pointless response that isn’t at all rated.

Remain humble 

Most importantly stay real,

I do not care of what you do, it’s how you act

The Father is ultimately in charge and that’s a fact.

Tired but still able to pray

Wake up to a new day

A day you have been blessed through someone that you don’t know

Turning up and saying: “thank you Lord” is where we all need to grow.

So remember, the light shines through 

The light is a message from the Lord which he transcends,

Living for another day through a prayer with Father

Is more invigorating than the alternative…rather.

Tired a day older

But one day we shall see the day,

This is a new life where we shall be pain free and see the perennial sun

Through supplication we are cherish rather than feeling numb.

Wake up to a new day

The first that lays ahead,

Remember the gentle words through a prayer which is humbly led.

Peaceful

Heavens await 

No goodbyes, simply a remembrance that shows true love 

Skies shining God’s fight 

There plenty of that insight.

A father, a provider and a loving husband 

Peace has now arrive towards his soul, 

You shall see him again, don’t ever let that go.

Pain no longer 

Simply kindness, love and laughter surrounds,

Whatever you believe in, the voice I do hear… a raw elevation of his sound.

Words are there to lift grace

His heart is held and put in a restful place, 

And even though today we don’t see his face

But I know by the grace of God, there shall be a time we shall meet again…as we shall all enter into that restful place.

Durable… Christian poem

I mustn’t complain

Just need to keep going on,

A child of God is prayerful, where complaints don’t really belong.

Yes, I am human

And I may fall in the complaining hat,

I prefer not to use my energy that way, so that’s where it’s at.

I am strong, but do get tired

I am not on this earth to be idolised, nor admired.

I just want to write poems 

That’s a conversation I prefer to have,

Speaking to people can be wearing

Reading Christian quotes is far more endearing.

1992

It was 1992 I met this friend called Matthew 

We arranged a game of tennis which took place each Friday week

We were looking to cultivate memories and more to seek.

I met him mum, Nikki 

She was caring and very cool,

She showed kindness, gave you a sandwich and cup of tea

These were the days without the internet and we felt unknowing but humbly free.

The relationship has lasted till now

They made sure I had a place to stay and food to eat,

I want to leave but fond memories when upset I prefer to remember and then retreat.

We have been on a journey

More than I thought would take place,

The ups and downs and the patience tested 

I am blessed and they are too, children of God are always invested.

People do change 

Tiredness….creeps in,

Silly questions forms, and that statement: “I don’t know what I am saying🤣”

I just reminisce that sandwich and a game of tennis 

We just have a bit more experience now and look to go forward

Perhaps we see each other too much? but isn’t for at all awkward.

Believe in you

We have all played it safe

Some more than others,

In the past I have got myself into a dark mess, which when I think about it I shudder.

But would I take that risk again? Of course I would!

I can’t leave a challenge alone, 

I would ask why I didn’t give it a go, 

There are times you pray, discern and allow yourself to flow.

You are brilliant 

Magnificent and resilient,

We are so quick to knock ourselves down

Stay in a safe space, speak to God first and then refute a chance to frown.

Risks go wrong

That’s part of learning and striving,

Some have good parents who have their back

Others have had sometime-ish folk, whose own upbringing has been fraught, tricky and slacked.

It’s your life

God created you, from the beauty and guile which you draw breath

Believe in you… there is hope and nothing else should be accepted less.
