We believe… in the father in heaven 

We ponder our lives always and decide not to go further…

I am a child of God’s after all

I have fallen, been battered and bruised and couldn’t prevent one of life’s many falls.

Yet God???you were there picking me up

You use others to help us on our journey

You make us feel special and truly worthy.

Love is yours to dish out in abundance 

We as children need to find the word of God in our hearts,

The human spirit cannot stand up from what it enchants.

Spend time with you and God

The best conversation that costs nothing to do,

Be at peace with your heart and those who rile your soul

God is holding you together, from the seeds that sow.

Lord, we praise you

You look to our needs and help us through Your timing 

You are amazing and what you do is so subliming.  

You give us joy and give us place to sleep 

You provide us with forgiveness when we do weep,

You look to our hearts and fill us with joy

And remove the guilt which we often deploy.

We miss those inside of us 

Whom we shall meet again, 

You are our perennial Father who is constantly in our defence.

We praise you everyday

Rejoice your glorious name,

You are our Father in heaven who lays inside our hearts, 

As the next prayer shall follow soon after,

Are you are giver or taker of emotion

It’s your prayer with the Father, that’s your devotion. 

Don’t let your jug run dry 

If you don’t understand, then it’s all about you,

This poem is for the chronic helpers who need to imbue. 

I am in between, I will talk, but I shall listen to others time in need, 

God’s presence is where your troubles are gobbled up and the removal of their greed.

We have all said those words before, 

but it’s greed in our soul where the Devil finds your inner core.

So stop draining others and saying sorry after 

It’s all about an over spilled jug, where one day the depression shall turn into laughter.

Never feel alone at times when facing a number of blows,

God takes the punches so you won’t face further woes.

Free will is the place we decide,

There is the eternal kingdom where we shall feel alive.

The Father in heaven gives you a choice not to fall.

Yet you will fall from grace because the Devil will attack,

Yet the king of Kings, through prayer shall have your back.

Patience is key

Even over the simplest of things,

God brings you blessings, and also calm

Only if you pray, and discern when you join your hands held together through your palms.

The care is out there 

The love of God is to be shared,

We don’t need this angst that we cause on one another,

I am blessed by the almighty

And so are you if you speak positive about the light,

Life is hard for many of us, and yes we need to knuckle down and fight.

God is your blessing 

God is your ‘go to’ person,

When things go wrong who do you turn to?

Nothing amazing about that, that’s between the Father and you.

Yes, there is anguish

And yes there is pain,

So go on keep speaking about it.. personally I worship the Father the one inside of you who can maintain.

I have a condition they say they cannot cure

Just pray for me, there’s no victim behaviour anymore.

We are beautiful in the Father’s eyes 

And when you believe you’ll feel the same too,

Praying… the greatest gift when conversing with God

Speaking.. comes with an agenda, or narrative release

Stay humble through a prayer.. that’s my humility which shall never cease.

Speaking is healthy

Especially when mentioning faith,

The humbleness is steered by the Father’s enchanting embrace.

Praying is enlightening 

It brings you closer to the Father through that word ‘hope’,

May the light bring you the power of joy

And learn that prayer is a weapon which the devil is unable to enjoy,

Gossip is fickle

It’s politics put on a stick,

Personally prayer wins hands down, and that spiritual guidance which I rather inflict.

Being Proactive

The world is so reactive 

Nothing calm and everything is a panic,

And there’s those dragged out conversations 

The ones where words have no meaning 

I rather execute my plan of action, that’s my moment of revealing. 

I pray to God, but that’s a request for a blessing…

Humbling hearts and stillness in speech,

Say the words and move on, not like: “I like the sound of my voice”…. Please! Go off somewhere else to preach.

Be calm, say the words you need to say

Avoid the politics of “ahhh”, that drags you down and doesn’t need to stay.

There’s a plan of action, chaos can leave my counsel 

Prayers are the words I prefer to say

Not this gabble, gabble… so please leave my presence today.

I read these words today

They made me feel humble, weak and quite gasping.

I read these words time and time again

I am tearing right now, don’t get me wrong? I am not going round the bend.

My brother said these words with grace and hope

As my head felt in the highest of clouds.

I say these words because I have true faith 

I say these words because love is inside us all

Learning a new life (Type 1 Diabetes poem)

It was the Easter of 2003

I started a job with the NHS, 

An organisation which prevents or cures many health impacting tests.

That time of year I started to feel thirsty 

As I wasn’t sure what to do, 

I was going to the toilet a lot, as this new journey was about to ensue. 

I found a way, but don’t get me wrong…this disease is awful

Especially where hypos are so impacting  

And life with it can be everso distracting. 

To be honest I can’t wait until a genius finds a cure 

Where we face dangers, day to day 

As I simply pray this feeling and condition goes away.

Still I have learnt so much about I 

I try to remain assertive, balanced and calm,

And where the bullies and cowards want to do that little more harm.

So I pray one day for a cure

Where this condition shall be no more,

May the heavens upon us, keep those who are focused and where the insulin shall regenerate inside, and shall no longer slow us.

My testimony ❤️🙏🏽

I looked towards Father when all else decided to fail,

It’s not that saying: what’s works for you” you are the Father who responded to your calling which I decided to yell.

“Do you believe in me” I heard the words that were speaking to my heart and in my head, 

As I thought my well wisher wasn’t on the other side of the phone when I needed them, so I accepted a prayer instead.

I struggled with people

Despite having a job which I know the Father provided, 

There was a cry for desperation 

The prayer caused an almighty magnification.

I hated myself, others causing harm with vexatious words

And I responded back aggressively, as all I wanted is to be is heard. 

So thank you God for saving my life 

And that one day I shall be with you with the people who are no longer here 

With The Father in my presence I have nothing else to fear.

Diabetes… the story continues

What a life we lead?

Testing, calculating and analysing to intercede.

Our brains are mathematical 

Because they are trained that way,

This carb intake equation is never calm or eases the strain.

You get frustrated with people who do not understand 

As the hypos are often a trial

And there are the hypers, which need to be taken down but can take awhile.

There are others who wallow 

So you do interrupt because you are managing your stress 

As I pray in the name of Jesus this is condition is cured  to erode this bloody mess.

Diabetes - a day in our lives

I hear those words:  ‘I couldn’t live with that’

I suppose if your temperament is erratic with a fiery impulsive alert, 

and avoiding the political blindness where Insulin is no longer available to convert.

The pressure of this condition is endless 

There’s life to deal with too…

As you need to stay calm and attained 

This condition has many challenges and causes many strains.

You learn to be calm and if you explode it’s because the sugar lows are impacting the mind,

Can’t they find a solution to turn on the tap to release insulin and breakdown the blood sugars for energy to arrive? 

Not this “ahh” response as I want to feel alive.

I pray for a cure for us all

Learning to move forward and avoiding to stall,

I know our bodies eventually breakdown, for us with this condition where all organs are affected,

God did make us humble yet this cure needs to be implemented.

So capture the movement of the Lord,

Especially from the son who died on the cross for us to all be saved.

Why argue?

Actually if you do, then learn to agree to disagree

The time needs to be used wisely

The balance conversations need to be humble, and pragmatically true,

The Father is the cornerstone, the one I rather imbue.

when the Son of God returns to take us home,

A season for patience

It’s been hell of a year and a half 

Struggling to find balance and as well as a laugh.

Yes, I have started to chuckle by doing what I do 

I am a child of God’s after all, as I tend to get amusement through me and you. 

But the world has changed 

Things and situations have become that little bit fast

Yet I need more attainment Lord… this area of timing I prefer to last.

I will continue to pray for myself, family, friends and those I do not know

Some people care

Some people forget that you have this ruddy condition

And when you have a hypo, the last thing you want to do is talk?

At the end of the day

There are so many “ahh’s” you can hear

Living with…

We all have health problems we need to endure

Yet this diabetes lark is truly a struggle and does need an insulin cure.

I am a advocate for the diabetes community 

As we need less politics and more sense in this type 1 or 2 unity. 

It’s not about “aww poor you” 

It’s about eating that cake and not calculating the food types we eat

And then there are the questions, I rather not greet.

You see.. I am light minded but I am pissed of having a hypo each day,

And there are others who say “be careful”.. do me a favour “go”… those words have no meaning, as they shan’t stay. 

So as I and many others go to the gym and try our best

People looking at me and say “you don’t look diabetic”

Please “p… off” those words are truly pathetic

So hypos and hypers, the daily struggles we face 

And there are people who are inquisitive and I don’t want to embrace.

I am short but have oily olive skin,

I have a big heart, yet I am as blind as a bat

Yet I hear these people who do not like their skin or their skinny frame, maybe in God’s eyes you are perfectly attained.

So why are you so hard on you?

Perfection is for God to pursue.

So stop saying negative things about your look

You are after all the creation of your own book,

God knows what’s behind and in front 

So therefore remove that negativity, that notion needs to be shunt.

I seek God

It looks truly broken outside,

We are facing the devil constantly, who aims to blitz…

Yet the prayer you deliver tells a humble sign

Despite the insults 

The failure that I have been exposed to when I thought it was right,

Ultimately I refused God, who truly was my light!

The father is my benchmark

The way we all should lean towards,

At peace 

No more suffering,

I pray to the Lord who now holds mum in his arms 

Love of God shall make sure there’s no more harm.

At peace 

And now home with the father,

Keeping mum safe and warm

No more pain, and no more organs torn.

Protecting the angels that surround 

Held through God who has surmount.

May the angels hold mum close to the heart

Your protection is now about to start.

Love is strength

And your mum has reached the kingdom to put at ease,

Hey God….we love this child 

He is inquisitive and not at all mild.

George is delight with a grin that makes you think

There are more questions than answers, so do not be surprised if you ever blink.

He is clearly a champion for all to see

Inside my heart, he is blessed, humbled and shan’t flee.

He is humbled in life, that is where he is at.

My time with God is irreplaceable 

My time with the Father is magnifying and sustainable.

My love for the Father ia praised up high

He loves you too, from the moment you ascend in this earth and when you are about to say goodbye.

My time with the Father is priceless

That night…

I hugged him

My Dad that is…

I was going to the gym the next morning

Slipping out of the room and knowing my Father’s heavenly place… that due through the dawning.

I was hugging my Dad

My bestest friend,

He was my brother, a confessor, the glue of our family 

He was astute, and he did not mess

A humble champion who was about to be blessed.

I fell sleep 

Thinking he would be there the next day,

Little did I know, when my eyes closed and the pain in his body was about to go away.

I looked at him

Calm as you can be,

“I love you Dad” I said inside my heart

The time you ascend to heaven… for a brand new start.

God is not good…

Look to the stars

Speak nice to those you meet

Refute judgement, despite their angst when they are faced with defeat.

Lift the spirit through simple prayer

Light the source which leads you there,

There is love, there is hope

There shall be struggles ahead, yet you are not at all a dope.

Lift the soul

Speak the word from the Father's truth,

Never lose sight through the eyes of the king

The spirit shall move you… as God’s love is worthy enough for all of us to bring.

Sorry, I need my time with God

Actually I am praying for you, and no one else

So if I ignore you then I am embracing my hope through spiritual wealth.

My job is to stay with God

My refreshment is to pray with him,

Not politics, despite the pain that causes

My time with God is something that never pauses.

I pray for you

Is there a problem with that?

I am trying my best to work hard to remain with him

I am not talking worldly stuff, as he is my next of kin.

Please respect my space

The time I choose to be alone,

God loves us all, as we are all picked.

God loves everyone, from these words I incumbently say.

People who like to insult.. because others are different

Well, what can I say to these types who are absent mindlessly and persistent?

Is making fun is a form of medical release

It’s the vexatious elements, which taunts the inner beast.

No matter where you are from

Do not segregate from others, they are loved by God too,

I am writing these words to show mercy for all we pursue.

We are loved, that is what the bible says

Sin has hit our spiritual core, 

And fighting to make right comes from the door Jesus has always left open

As these words are focused on your soul, which the Father has always chosen.

You are humbled 

You are delightful

Speak positivity amidst the haste that enters the mind

For the need to be balanced and instil to be ‘self kind’.

You are not in a juxtaposition 

Close to someone with a different meaning,

Discern to God first and refuse to becoming revealing.

The world is comprised with constant change

Some of it you embrace,

Some of it you refuse

As long you accept your inner beauty then the negativity shall defuse.

I believe in prayer 

The freest beauty you can always share,

The love of the Father is a place we all reach

Open your arms to the Father, that beauty is accessible to be teached.

Didn’t you know you were created by the highest force 

He gives you free will and abundance of remorse.

Lord what am I suppose to do?

I love you but I don’t understand the pathway I’ve been guided to pursue?

Do I lift your name up high?

I know there’s a blessing out there, despite others struggle and where they surmise.

But I know it’s only you Lord who is able to sustain.

Everyone should get to know you

There is no one else quite like thee, 

And where victim behaviour is often shown

But its you Father….the king,

Renounce father for pain to remove

I pray to the heavens as you are the one who cures and soothes.

Hungover

Drink to access 

What’s the point?

I prayed and started with a tomato juice

Through my enzyme abuse.

The vibe of the evening was lovely

the conversation ran smooth,

I wondered what I was thinking of when I tipped over the alcohol noose.

I have learnt my lesson

Well I think I have? 

My head is hurting

and the aftermath is most disconcerting.

So tomorrow I start with a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea,

As I pray to God that this headache flea 

So I won’t do this again

Well that’s the incentive…. Well all that depends.

Making mistakes on this tapestry of life,

Maybe you have married your now husband or wife.

You live this life because it’s set on God’s road

Don’t feel you have failed through others aim to goad.

They don’t understand you

Nor will they, unless they open there minds,

We are beautifully created in God’s imagine, well that’s that I find.

We have experiences

We all have a story to tell, 

And yes, there will be ups and downs 

As long as you pray to God, your next chapter shall be found.

Drunken stupor

Those were the days 

That I would drink to excess,

Went for it big time and ended up in a total mess.

I would go out on the lash

Thinking it would be a great night,

I was a happy drunk back then, so wouldn’t end up in a fight.

I was slightly silly

And would be very hard on myself,

Spending money which long to save 

As on a night out I would feel that I am on a crest of a wave.

So now I have learnt my lesson

Yes, I like drink or two,

Yes the company you keep many be exuberant and a bit lively 

Now I am in God’s reach now, as my humility eeked out, and that’s a bit slightly.
