I know you thank your higher power today
At the time you didn’t think you were able to obey.

John, you pulled through, you are now living the dream,
A higher power protected you, as at the start you didn’t think this was all that it seems. 

The euphoria, the drunkenness and blindness you stated
This world of sobriety should never be underrated. 

You should be proud
You are indeed blessed, 
May the Lord protect you and your family always, this life of sobriety doesn’t deserve anything less.
