​Believe it or not, the higher power is there
You have free will to be open, or just listen to others to be fair. 

Believe it or not addiction is real,
You can tell others to go away, but this disease is the genuine deal.

The day turns into night 
Waiting for the next fix to keep our mood aloft, 
We are in this together brothers and sisters, and no… you aren’t going soft. 

The higher power will get you
Surrender, there is no shame in that,
I will be praying for you in your recovery, as I hope that’s the place we shall eventually reach at.
