it takes a special person to save a life,
It takes a special person to want to be there and remove the blindness of their friend’s or family member’s strife.
It takes a special person who wants to be present in their friends’a or relations’ time of need,
These people are awesome, and it’s not about ‘me’; it’s to remove the challenges of intense suicidal feed.
You see! I have been there when all appeared lost,
When actually I needed Jesus, the Father who died on that cross.
I don’t know what spiritual journey that you are on today,
I am not speaking of the bible, these are simple words which I need to relay.
The point that I am making, you don’t need to be on your own,
These words are for you.. and yes.. you won’t need to be alone.

The programme is great,

People’s life’s has changed and we as a body of fellowship have become one.
The main share, the story that you can genuinely relate,
And how the system of A.A. Refutes the side of any debate.

Go with an open mind, this is a powerful message which I preferably want to seek to in-tune.

Do you understand a hypo?
Hypo, the ‘o’ means low
That letter for a diabetic has no place to go,
It feels like vertigo, a place where your heads is in the clouds
And there’s troubles lurking ahead
I pray to God this condition has to regenerate a pancreas where red blood cells are produced and insulin is released to put this condition to bed.
The feeling is awful
As the insulin keeps people like me alive,
So why isn’t there a operation to recover this need,
The organs will be damaged and the speed of destruction is what it feeds.
I have had this condition for years…
23 years in fact,
I have learned so much about my body, as this pancreas has managed to detach.
The arrow of blood sugar will point down,
For those with the condition that can cause alarm,
Others who do not live with it and say an erratic remark,
They need to leave this person with this condition, the words won’t help and simply harm.

Lord heal this condition, love will always win,

To reach a place and wondered why got the people that you have around;
But you learn more about yourself when you provide support and people offloaded onto you,
Leave this with God, that energy you shall start to ensue.
You reach a place and mix with people who have reached a bad place,
You leave their issues with God, who shall shower them with mercy and grace
This is a time of reflection of each of us through the trying times we can all face.

Calming down
People situations and things,
And then the chaos starts where you think there is nothing else to bring.
The addiction,
The kick,
The moments we think will protect us, but no one is available to be seen,
No more peer pressure to take or gulp a drink
Now you have a chance to make amends by honestly starting to think.
The people struggling with addictions can always take the first step
Being low and then succumbing to a mindless fix,
We need to stay with our higher power and getting involved in that mix.
The purpose is for others to help themselves and they can’t do this on their own,
So if you work in the recovery field you are a warrior; as the Angels shan’t allow this negative to be set in stone.
The point this addiction can imprison anyone on this earth,
Getting into the wrong group, or following the incorrect path
Turning the corner is the good news on why recovery is no longer harsh.

If someone moans,
Your reaction can be good, bad and perhaps sad,
It’s life on life’s terms,
we all take risks, some are measured and prayed for unless discerned.
If someone is in a low mood, show that level of care and love,
You can’t do anything to take them out of the rut, or perhaps make them laugh,
Or if they feel depressed and unkempt, they may need to go for a bath.
I crave a balance, peace, quiet and sometimes laughter,
The latter is temporary and isn’t always our happy ever after.

They are on a level of speed that doesn’t connect with me,
I rather be still and pray to God, that set my headspace to feel free.
People look at replying by answer when only a statement was formed,
I rather read a book and reflect on the views, if it’s polar opposite to what you think
Then that’s a discussion you rather engage with.. and potentially on the brink.
The moral of this poem is to be patient
And if you are not, how can others be patient with you,
If speed is what you are looking for, then go to the gym and produce a run to your limits,
And through that you will appreciate the breath you need to dispel
Reflect through the next comment you wish to tell.

Time and patience
How long do we have of each,
It’s that notion, do we practice what you preach.
Time can’t stop
Patience you need to learn,
Overtaking taking place these days
Is the lack of patience as it’s only the higher power who stays.
When all said and done
People will do what they need to do,
They may delve into erratic behaviour, which they shall ask how they got there.. and wouldn’t have a clue.
People shall complain through the pain they are in,
But what does that act serve? Nothing just further anguish which that brings.
It’s about us all
Not me, me and me,
Service is paramount, that’s God’s calling when we truly become free.

We have all struggled in addictions
We have all struggled,
Some of us put ourselves into positions of duress,
This life after all is a challenging test.
We will endure struggles
We will endured pain,
We will endure medication, some of us think will work or look to sustain.
We have all been addicted to something
Some for us it’s food
Some could be struggles in our mood.
We can be addicted to drugs
We can be addicted to losing weight,
The important thing is to reach out, before this addiction overtakes.
We are all addictive to something,
Some are good addictions and some not so,
As long you learn to stop or manage this trait you have inside
Remember, you are led by a spirit, a good thing to take a ride.

Why do people exercise?
Why do people exercise or what I normally say ‘train’?
It’s because they want to test the body to feel better inside,
When I start training I begin with rowing
And I have no intentions to want to be slowing.
It’s an extremity thing,
People need to know the limits of their endurance and strength,
I personally need to find my limits at spiritual lengths.
We train to learn more about our body, hearts and mind,
This won’t be easy, but you appreciate the achievement of your efforts, well that’s what I find.
We train to intensity the blood,
And learn how we can achieve with incremental strength we shall build
There is a desire to keep going, stay blessed and look to be spiritually fulfilled.

Try to focus

Learn to resolve and avoid the resentments.
Easier said than done,

And the other person is part of your connective test.
Some people will understand you
Others will ask questions all the time;
The latter is a mind fill that we don’t always need
And for some of us questioning is something we need to receive.

We need to evolve,
The world isn’t always prepared for what you offer
But you are authentic, and your ideas make sought to bother.

Stop drinking and taking these substances, it won’t lead you to the place you ought to be,
Please free yourself from this mental prison as you’ll be able to eventually finally see.
It starts with determination, patience and learning to be kind,
The damage caused can be repaired, but don’t always leave that to your mind.
Surrender and give it to a God to who you can relate to,
It’s a personal relationship that you can always ensue.
Keep moving forward
This is your life after all,
Yes, you can abuse it but spiritually you lead yourself stall.
Stay strong
Remove yourself from the ‘so called’ friends that do not deserve your space,

What I did myself…
I am an Alcoholic,
And shall always be,
I was fickle and blinded.. and yes.. I wasn’t able to flee.
I was incompressible
I was to a degree indispensable
But that’s myself being deluded,
Going to the gym and then a powerful drink,
And then afterwards wasn’t able to think!
I was destroyed
But faith brought me right back,
The spirit of God, who I spoke to each day,
Kept my feet on the floor, which allowed me to stay.
How am I here? heaven knows!
As long I show up and believe in myself and higher power,
Then the path we take is able to grow.

We are not reporters to issues, these are not the conversation we should seek to find.

Not everyone is a doctor
And not everyone is a nurse,
People can assume the worse, life is a gift and not a curse.
Not everyone is a counsellor
The hard work comes from within,
You are only as strong as the outcome that you want,
Defeated attitudes have never won,
And the outcome needs to come from you, as you are never at all done.
There are those who think they know best,
They shall impart advice which you never asked for,
Yet their time is valued as all you can do is listen, either decide to refuse or ask for more.
