Walks by faith

faith can be works of blindness
It can also show a glimmer of kindness,
As I wake up to another day sober, taking my time to get stuff done and perhaps do that task a bit more slower.

So take your time,  it’s a marathon not a sprint,
Learn from past mistakes that you can’t over turn,
There is hope from the perspective when we all discern.

I pray everyday
It’s humbling, reassuring and doesn’t get in harms way,
It’s a choice to wake up and simply pray
Yet it will soften past blows where the amends can be worked on for today.

So thank you for this first breath
Thank you for free will to strive,
And most of all thank you for my friends and family who are blessed today and mostly are alive.
