Sober today

​Thanks Lord for the air that fills our lungs
Nothing is guaranteed through the man who became the one.

Thanks Lord I am sober today,
I’ve gone to the gym rather than picking up a drink,
Especially with the sun out, and the way we can often think!

I am grateful, blessed and guided by your teachings,
I have another chance to stay sober today, 
my head isn’t hanging with that aspirin to take that headache away. 

I know I am not always sociable as I protect my guarded heart, 
I don’t need conversations to make it trigger, so sobriety is where it starts.

I thank God for today for myself, family, and friends focusing on growing,
And that being sober is a blessing and forever.. knowing.
