Martina and Ivan were the top seeds, 
But Becker, Graf and Edberg held the stage. 

Martina reached another final 
But in her way was Steffi Graf,
A forehand of such power, which was hard to return and brilliant exponent to mask. 

Graf won in 3 sets, after losing the first set 7-5
Then the forehand started booming, as 6-2 and 6-1 captured the win
A maiden victory in the All-England club title for the German who fought to bring.

Edberg a champion in Australian overcame Mecir from 2 sets down to reach a first final 
Awaiting in the final could be either Becker or Lendl, two giants of the game
Becker victorious in 4 sets, as Lendl’s to wait another year despite his inspired skills 
The German all-court grass court game inspired to thrill.

The final was brilliant, rain interrupted play 3 times
The Sweden coming from behind to win the men’s singles title for the first time,
His brilliance at the net was amazing to witness with reflexes when the opponent could return the ball back
His victory truly deserved with his magnificent attack.
