Profound

​Hello is here today 
It may not be here tomorrow, 
Love and live your life for today, you aren’t far from sorrow. 

This is real talk
Words we all look to avoid, 
We aren’t playing, these words should never be toyed. 

This is the world
It’s what we have got… for now,
Please shine your light despite the pain
The higher power is blessing you with a gain. 

We are here now
So what are we going to do next? 
Wait for me to speak more… perhaps I’ll write a poem in a text.?

Overcoming…

​I am here to fight 
I am here to turn what became wrong.. now into something right.

I am here because I love
And that goes for you too, 
Don’t worry about tomorrow, that hasn’t arrived yet
The moment we have is now, through the trials we may or may not get. 

Don’t ever leave you
Don’t ever let the other person win, 
Please turn the other cheek, the other person shall soon remove their grin.

Love you and your family
And if your family are hard work? then hold back,
You are a child of the almighty, who gives you free will to keep your feet on the ground
We have today… and for me personally that is ultimately profound.

We are finding a way (Addictions poem)

​We got into this addictions game
And we can find a way out, 
We are supporting each other through the trials
As our addictions has held us for quite a while. 

I can post message, as well as encourage 
We are in this together, we are all looking to be nourished. 

The time belongs to you
The effort is between you and your higher power, 
God… Thank you for today, as elevation is like a shooting plant or flower.

You have got this
Today is the day that belongs to you and I, 
If you want a hug, here I am.. as it’s only when  you have God is the time you can say goodbye.

It doesn’t mater what you think of me…

​It’s plain and simply clear
We all face challenges that we simply fear,
Some arrive at a point in our lives which has led 
Facing consequences when gone to bed.

I don’t care what you think of me,
I am not impressed with powerful people who have larges amount of money,
I serve my higher first, a price which I take seriously and isn’t funny.

I am here with love 
I am here to serve,
I may be direct with my feelings which I rely
Words of truth, as prayer is where my head lays.

It doesn’t matter who I am
I know I have reached out by sending these words to you,
The actions we deliver won’t suit us all
Today is here just for the present, as we simply give thanks to avoid to fall.

Turning up for each other

​Thank you 
You turned up to offer,
Today you are a blessing and not at all a bother.

It could be a cup of tea, coffee or a glass of water,
That moment is more precious than a material gift,
We are here for each other, just for that momentary lift. 

I speak as a friend, as the higher power will find you without  shadow of doubt, 
Today we are present that is all that matters, 
Gone are the days when we were gregarious and mad as a hatter!

Turn up 
Simply give it your all,
Bit by bit and step by step, 
The road that belongs to you, a path you are unable to ever forget.

Tomorrow’s escape

​We can only promise today
Tomorrow is another day we cannot see,
I am inside me today and that’s the place I rather want to flee.

I may laugh
But often tears flow down my face, 
I am not depressed, just feel pain as nothing shall ever go to waste. 

I drank until I blacked out and couldn’t see,
This isn’t surprising for anyone who has acted this way,
The mind was fraught with confusion and often dismayed. 

I know love shall win this battle any day,
And don’t take love as a weak weapon that’s simply nice,
That’s what put us in the position in the first place, that first drink has always enticed.

A unit of people (recovery poem)

​This has become the most bizarre unit, 
If you said 5 years ago I would have met you guys? I would have said no
I didn’t frown on alcoholism but I thought that wouldn’t be me..
The world is quite complex, and we are unable to always see.

We get close in the mist,
Embrace the chaos as our friend, 
Then there is the ‘stay at home’ drinks that slowly kills
We are facing turbulence which isn’t the end game we feel.

I have met the best people I have ever seen
I have met all walks of life during my time, 
Not a sheltered life, as I was clearly exposed
Falling down the Pitt in my alcoholism, but now I have put in the word and have now rose.

The family
The unity
The encouragement we have for one another, 
The safe space of the rooms, which no longer bother.

Today I am here
That is all I can regard,
The times of relentless drinking and the prospect which made me weak, when actually I thought I was hard.
