High and slow

I recall when I used

I fell over many times,

a lesson not worth remembering, as I wasn’t held to paying a form of tithe.

I over did it

like we all did,

people asked “why did you do this?”

my normal reaction would be: “I wanted to go all out”,

as I wanted ‘chaos’ to be my best friend and those were the times the body would recover,

I didn’t want a cup of tea from my own or other paternal mother.

But do you know what?

I did what I did because I lived for me,

people can advice what’s best for you, but from your eyes they couldn’t see.

I am getting older

And starting to become my own best friend,

I will slip up from time to time as it’s myself and God for whom I can depend.

Just for one day

Just for one day I wouldn’t need to measure the food I eat that goes inside,

just for one day I wouldn’t be scared to over inject and go through this hypo attack ride.

Just for one day I wouldn’t need to overcome this form of stress,

I know God will take this away despite my patience at best.

Just for one day we wouldn't need to challenge our bodies with incorrect doses placed in our body,

this f@cking condition can easily make you subside and shoddy.

But at the end of the day you can only do your best,

pray to God, discern and place yourself around people who won’t exacerbate this sinking feeling you have everyday,

may my prayers be with you if you suffer the same,

getting on with it, is the best form of gain.

Hearts beat

pounding faster,

we all pray for a happy ever after.

I left my heart to see God first

like a well on the dessert gasping for thirst.

our pride is put to one side

God has got this, nothing can now subside,

just a little patience

that’s our attributes at this time,

God’s work is never ending

looking at each other is so transcending.

we have both been hurt

but the truth heals in time,

not knowing to solve

hearts loving and blessings through mercy and grace,
