Trying to take it in your stride

This thing called life is the hardest challenge you’ll ever face,

you may relish in the battle

or perhaps don’t like the taste.

Some of us never know what happened

caught in the moment and didn’t know how to turn back?

perhaps the higher power was calling, to sway towards them…and that’s a fact.

I pray for the outcome to be better

wondering how we reached this glamorised place,

perhaps looking for something better with a euphoric embrace?

Love is love

What I am saying is the higher power has our backs,

there’s always a moment to remain still and meditate, and you know you shall win with the option of free will!

There is always an epiphany where you reach that moment that’s ever so surreal.

There are times…

There are times in life we face a constant struggle,

looking for hope when prayer is the cornerstone we know that shall get us out of this muddle.

God is the light of life

Regardless how you perceive him; there is comfort he can offer if you only allow,

this isn’t pleading, this is the journey we look to endow.

Breaks will appear in this life that you shall face,

love with all your heart, God’s love is something we shall one day face.

None of us has the answers

but the higher power does,

so please pray, as I shall for thee

their is a growth in the spirit, where you shall one day be set free.

Understanding what we put ourselves through

Unless you’ve been there; then it’s hard to articulate,

the journey of addictions is practically close to feeling like an inmate.

You learn to live

you also learn to get ready to die,

you may speak to your higher power and slowly say to the world ‘goodbye’.

You just can’t stop addictions

you are imprisoned to this life,

one thing that is positive I’ve met some beautiful souls,

who were previously in denial with nothing afterwards to show.

this life will change forever,

and it shall be for the best,

remember you are beautiful inside and out as the first step will be the hardest test.

i’m just trying to get my blood sugars down so just gone to sugar I’m gonna share a poem.

Taking a chance on love.. through God’s heart

If I said I love would you leave?

If I said I love you, would you humbly believe?

If I said I love you

Would you cry instead of wince,

Would you hold me close or flinch.

If I said I love you

Would you stay?

If I said I love you shall we remain on the dock of a bay?

If I said I love you

Would you hold my hand?

If I said I love you know how loving you are would you take a chance.

If I said love you

These words will be relied every now and again,

If I said I love you, I know these two or three souls we will be able to depend ❤️

Getting there

We are all getting there

we truly are,

we look away, or perhaps gone too far.

struggles are part of life

So avoid the serious types who often loom,

pray to God first, that can change your pattern, I presume?

Addictions is a journey which you shall pull you through

follow the steps and understand there is a sponsor to endorse you

struggles come as part of the leap to relish

you avoid fickleness, it’s those who speak nonsense you avoid to cherish.

hone into your higher power

the source that loves your heart,

the struggles of life’s addiction shall eventually depart.

A smile

A smile can make a difference

a frown can bring you distant,

looking at hope to the fore

where there is faith, there is plenty in store.

looking at hope

looking at light

looking at recovery, which has plenty to bite.

looking at that time where you ignore others to find peace

bringing that moment where you look to release.

you see, people are important as they place their part

your inner spirit is where it all can start.

life is complex at best

apprehension can lead you to rest,

where there is a spirit to lead

God is real, and from there prayers can offer you to feed.

Life is precious

but most of us don’t see it that way,

Look to your higher power to hold your hand

you are never alone, regardless the steps you take to make a stand.

thank you for your love

thank you for your listening ear,

Thank you for your prayers, a place I shall often endear.

Don’t be scared

the road is long and has plenty of coverage to face,

life is a little bit like that, we can be speedy one minute and the next we need to have that moment of haste.

Love today and tomorrow will be if you are meant to be there

one day we look to the highest and embrace the moments we all once shared.
