Thank you…I am here today

Say to your higher power “thanks” for letting me be present just for today,
To many others it was their last moments on this earth, before heaven took them to the new place to stay.

Yes, no more pain
And no more struggles, it’s those who are left behind who hurt for a bit
Holding onto the present and accepting you need to regain your grit.

It’s about love, great moments and focusing on the present 
The past could have brought many great times,
Reminiscing should involve the good and not entertain anything to cause a surmise.

It’s about your strength
The way to grow and go forth,
It’s about learning, praying and keeping in the moment that’s today,
All I need, like you is “hope”, keep away from anything addictive that comes in harms way.
