Worry for worries sake

Why worry
I know it’s a default for most of us;
That feeling of angst and that feeling we dare not trust.

The world has become impatient
The world has become tired,
People going so fast, it’s amazing their heads are thinking clear,
I rather take my time, as others can veneer.

One thing at a time
That’s all you can do,
We like to help others, but sometimes we don’t have a clue.

So leave the worry to God,
That to myself is the default to cling onto today,
As it’s quite simple, God will always have the final say..😉

Who says you need to go fast✍🏽

Task after task
None of us need to go that fast;
There’s a time to do this, and a time to do that,
The timing is important, but it’s your energy is, that’s where it’s at.

Take your time
Spend time with God in order to restore,
You shall take your time, then want to do more and more.

There’s a time and place
Don’t compromise your health,
from that perspective you’ll delve into unnecessary stealth.

One thing at a time,
Yes, there is plenty to do,
But what can you do, tire yourself? That shall only lead you to imbue.

You can complain
And cause the chaos which riles the soul,
Sometimes just speak to yourself, and simply say: ‘it’s with God now, just leave it alone”.

Ronnie… One in a lifetime…

Ronnie O’Sullivan
A gift from the Snooker Gods,
We may see a new contingent now, one’s we haven’t seen before
But this man is the benchmark.. the one who on a snooker table is able to roar.

A genius at work
A machine in the making,
Frailty, genius and consistent realms
The Man is a genius after all.. more than it seems.

The left handed red potted on the rail to set himself on the black ball,
Proceeding to do an amazing 147 on his way to the 2014 Welsh open win,
The man is amazing and there’s plenty more stories to bring.

The 7 world titles, 8 UK titles and 8 masters to add to his name
The man is raw talent, not everyone is able to match when they play,
Over half a century year old and still producing the goods,
The artistry of this phenomenon.. and if everyone played at their best..
no one can match him.. he is after all the ultimate test.

“The genius of Ronnie o”Sullivan…”

The gift of laughter

The gift of laughter
People can talk positively, or say nothing at all,
My friend Matthew, what a fella, he made me laugh until I bellied and was about to fall.

You see, my life I have many times walked away
That’s all I have done,
Yet, some situations I have faced head on,
Now I have God on my side, who gifted me my friend Matthew… he made something light, instead of it continuing to go wrong.

You clearly need to see the positive
You need to stop worrying because that only makes you ill,
I need to speak to God more and more,
That prayer shall capture belief, and remove anything negative, which we all know shall deplore.

I am grateful
My friend wanted to be there, and he was with faith on his side,
Mixed in with a bit of personality that made me genuinely chuckle,
This friend of mine, I love so much… but he did get me out of a muddle.🤣

I have been strong and I have been weak

Haven’t we all been in that place of strength?
How do we sustain that? I think personally that’s leading you to become ‘hell bent’.

Showing vulnerability is okay too
Letting go at times when facing a struggle,
Saying ‘I need you God’ when you face times of trouble.

Is there disgrace to say ‘I can’t do this anymore!’
It’s from that realisation point you have gone belong the feeling of becoming sore.

Times are stressful
Times are graceful too
I am looking towards God now… I suggest you do the same too!

It’s not a cult
Something you need to belong
This is mercy and grace at it’s finest, as there’s no need to turn back
Your higher power has got you, the past doesn’t need to be retract.

What have I learned from A.A.

What have I learned?
There’s is a time to let go because this addiction has always been inside,
You didn’t now how to get rid of it, or whom I should confide.

I would have been scared to be judged
I would have been scared to let you and others down,
This is a new start, another birthday to celebrate and don’t forget the ‘chip’ day that comes around.

This is a subtle disease, it can get you when you least expect,
I lost my Father so I went off the rails,
I thought no one cared, even though they said that they did
Now I have met fellows in the rooms, supportive and now seeking to re-live.

We look at the similarities and not the difference
The latter word tends to judge,
Especially in a world is full of trickery, but this disease will kill you if you do not budge.

If you don’t drink, then sure you don’t understand what’s in my heart
I am blessed to have God on my side…. As from this moment I’ll stop and depart.

A time to…..

There’s a time to burn
A time to learn
a time to release
A time to rest
You know at the end of the day you are divinely blessed.

There’s a time to be strong
A time to be weak and frail,
A time to be laugh and lighten the day
These things we are all learning about ourselves, our memories never fade.

There’s a time to be serious
A time to show the world the gifts you possess
And there is a time to relax, reenergise and show you and others you are able to do your best.

There’s a time To advice
Without the element of surprise,
We all have knowledge and attributes to portray
But the most important thing is.. we only have today!
