Yiayia… I see your smile

​It’s been a while since I have seen you Yiayia,
Nan to those who don’t speak Greek, 
Almost 32 years since she passed
I know God took her home 
She is inside those who she loved… and for them, you are not alone. 

She was my best friend, 
She was calm and said very little, 
Respectful, accommodating and didn’t brag what she did
Her humility is something lacking today.. and from this day I continue to miss.

Don’t get me wrong, 
The others who give me a headache now I still love, 
But this woman was protective, and is always with me… side to side and up above. 

Yiayia, I remember your qualities
Your kindness, generosity and didn’t argue like these sods do today.,
I wish there were more people like you on this earth… none of this debate, gossip and those things that shouldn’t stay.
