Space and time (A.A. Poem)

​Space and time
A perfect ingredient to receive harmony and peace, 
My name is Jason and I am an alcoholic,
I can say that now, I go to the rooms and have recently done the 12 steps
We are all learning on this journey, as this is time of reflection at its best. 

You see the programme works if you work it,
It’s simple, but requires patience and hope through a higher power that you need to accept, 
These words flow from my fingers, as the higher power hits me high 
You need to accept surrender through this struggle in quest to stop and become dry. 

I don’t want a drink any more, 
My cravings are captured through something else, 
A sweet drink or a piece of carbs which salivates the mouth
The issue is, I am an insulin dependant diabetic so I need to inject and require a bit of nouse. 

A.A. Has saved my life
And the people who have been part of my journey, 
I am here only for today, nothing else is guaranteed 
As I mingle with fellows and people whom I chose to be with… as the aim is to be freed.
