Through the higher power

​Through your higher power I have found grace,
Through the higher power my addictions have found a place. 

Through the higher power I have found my other cheek,
It’s taught to turn and not punch the passive aggressive through tension that tries to make you weak. 

Through the higher power, I have said ‘no’ as I needed to protect my heart, 
Through my higher power people who think they are funny, but ARE not, can simply depart. 

Through my higher power you look to regain,
And through my higher power love is welcomed and not received as a burden again. 

Through my higher power I am praying for you, 
You are important regardless what you may say, 
And if you are speaking negatively… then politely ’go away’.
