Housing… where are they?

It’s impossible to get the support
I am sofa surfing and feel a little distort,
No level of representation there to help,
And seeking to find a way
It’s only the higher power that keeps your mind at bay.

Where is the support?
‘No obligation’ it says on the housing act,
Trying like no end, that is where it’s at!

So what do you do?
There are hostels that move you into a flat, but you need to have fallen on hard times first
It’s like a desert well that wants your help but can’t help your thirst.

The times are difficult to understand
What do we need to do? Hold up our hands?
We can only pray for a better outcome one day
As this poem is looking for hope as our hearts rest for today.
