After Alcohol….

Hello my name is Jason and I am an alcoholic
​I feel in a safe space in A.A. 
Most alcoholics would say this,
Why? We are not judging each other as each of our stories are unique
I realised for myself, that I needed a room like this in order to release, be inspired and then seek.

The rooms are safe
The rooms don’t offer an Q&A,
We simply thank the chair for their talk and that this ‘new life’ shall move towards us to be okay.

We all face bumps on this road called, ‘life’, 
I need to remind myself to top picking up, but that goes for my peer too, 
And when I surrendered to my higher power, as from there I started to infuse.

There is also service, something I need to get involved with more
Their are options to finding a chair for the forthcoming meet, become a secretary, treasurer, make the coffee or greet,
This family called ‘A.A.’ Is something I never thought I’d expect as the day to stop taking or drinking is overcoming an overdue defeat.
