I miss him every day (Dad poem)

There is something melancholy when someone protective leaves this earth
You can’t put your finger on it, and the trails that come with it from the point of your own berth.

I miss him,
His face, his laugh, he love and his protection
He was a people person, my pain in the arse and had a wonderful reflection.

Don’t get me wrong, we didn’t always see eye to eye..
But that is families for you,
They bite, they twist and can take you to the very edge
I speak these words from the heart, something I humbly pledge.

I write these words fluidly
My speech is just the same,
Yet despite these gifts, nothing can remove the pain.

The arguments you may have with others
The people who press button which can hurts,
The punched you want to fly from the weight lifting training session which you did,
I thank God for today, as I miss the old Sod… the one I never wanted to get rid.

“Miss you Dad… I don’t think I’ll ever forget you… Love your son❤️”
