A year today….

​Not sure how it happened
But it’s one year clean today,
Thanks to my strong will and higher power I am not crucifying my internals in any way.

How did I do it?
I struggled, cried and wondered what to do next,
I was overcome by this addiction, now the chains are removed
I have a blessing in my heart.. which I pray I never look to lose.

I tried, 
I cried and allowed this to take over my soul, 
Now I am getting my life back, the art of recovering is coming to meetings and simply turn up and show.

You should be proud of yourself
You should be happy you have made it a year, 
Time isn’t on anyones side, but one thing for certain.. you are loved by your higher power… therefore, you never need to fear.
