We never knew

​Today is a blessing that we always aim to find
Tomorrow is unknowing, but you pray for the moment to feel special and sublime. 

We look towards today and thank God that we are here
I know there is plenty for hope and love to declare. 

I pray for the addicts who are looking to overcome this wildest of challenge
I pray for the light to be lifted and that life forevermore is not at all damning. 

I follow the day with the light it shine,
Even if it’s raining there is a light to break through the clouds of rain that unwind.

I pray for the people to be kind day in and day out
And that God’s love is everlasting and worth a shout.

So goodbye as this journey comes to an end
But at least these words speak of kindness… my fair weather friend.
