Hello diabetes world
Making the decision for what we choose for our insulin pump?
The decision is never easy to choose,
Looking at the algorithm and how much insulin shall run loose.
There are the calculations
And it’s not about the BMI ratio;
Even if it comes as disguised as a high pitched radio.
For me it has to be light and easy to manage,
And untangling the cannula from the waist high,
This device needs practicality without the element of a surprise.
So thank you medical team for being a great support,
Especially for the DAFNE principles which I’ve eventually been taught,
So prayers will find a cure one day
And that hypos and hypers shall permanently stay away.
So do I go for the Omnipod 5, Dana 1 or Ypso pumps?
Difficult decisions we with type 1 and 2 we need to make,
Yet I thank the team at Kings for funding the device we choose to take.

"None of us can stay positive all of the time.... my theory and practical is this, if you pray everyday, be nice to that one person every day (or better still more people), then the world will have that little more love to show and perhaps you will feel better....Anger solves nothing, love creates harmony, encouragement, hope and love..." What about me? I have type 1 diabetes, love the arts and I am a god fearing man (I am sure you can tell)...... I am also on IG type '@jaypoeticsensitivity.
