Going deep

​We can’t avoid our past at times 
That’s why I leave it with God, 
What brought me to this place where sometimes I remain unsure
Is it my character that’s wanting more.

So who are you?
The real you?
Are you deep in emotion?
Or lack in that area?
Would you lose it if you explore this question more
do you love life enough to continue to soar?

We can’t lose who we are 
We help one another, even if we show effort and can’t go far.

The fact is, is that you have tried 
and you shall try again, today you are blessed as you haven’t yet died.

This life is yours, no one else’s
How deep that may sound
As long you are honest with yourself and God, well, that is what I say is profound!
