Breaking the chains

​When you are addicted, you clearly feel there’s no hope, 
‘How did I reach this place, which started off as a laugh…
Then the moment you realise you are imprisoned and facing an almighty wrath. 

You are clearly in chains, 
You can’t seem to cut them free,
The addict inside of you is also inside of me. 

I am a character with resolve 
But at the time you don’t feel you can pull through, 
There is a light in the A.A. rooms which often you pursue.

The feeling to breaking free
Which, shows that God has your back once you have surrendered and repented, 
As long you stay true to the programme that once before we didn’t feel we were able to share and presented.
