Today is all we have

​Today is all we have
So start it with  prayer,
A prayer is a conversation with your higher power to what is laying on your heart,
Give thanks for today whatever you choose to start.

I pray for my enemies 
People who try to annoy me despite the want to punch them in the face,
I pray for those I love, those I don’t mind wanting to embrace. 

I thank the source within that I am still here,
Others are not, as they are not around for that once familiar chat,
I miss my Dad for instance; that chat was brief, but that is where it’s at.

I thank my higher power simply for today 
For all I can do with the focus I have right now,
Leaving on good terms as you don’t even need to know ‘how’.
