it’s the first day,
I won’t have another one ‘I’ve heard that before’
Craving and wanting to drink or snort more.
You are here to recover
surrounded by people who also too have a worth and walked down ‘that’ road,
Now can you work with a care professional and then simply off load?
The purpose…
The tears
The happiness
The inner resolve you cannot hide,
Honestly? You do have a higher power on your side.
Telling people ‘why!!!’
Shouting all of the time because the substance took a grip,
I didn’t care what others had to say
their ‘solving words’ had no where in my mind to stay.
You will be strong
from the place where we were once weak,
It’s my faith in something deeper is what we all truly look to seek.
