Rather than what we need to face daily, which one day we won’t need or reduces.
Some understand this condition
Some do not,
Arrogance personified for what we often face,
Especially when we have a hypo, others do not incase.
We can’t go at speed
We are balanced and stoic,
We understand our bodies intricacy
And need to evaluate our food and our activity amazingly.
We are brilliant
Second to none,
We face an evil battle
And every day a mini victory has to be won.
For those who don’t understand
Our pancreas does not release red islets to secrete insulin from our bodies
And if that isn’t balanced, we find ourselves a little shoddy.
So don’t be too hard on yourself
Type 1s…you are amazing, like no other people around,
Keep on fighting the battle to find a cure
Over 100 years ago, it was a death sentence, that’s for sure.
