Catford

​Crackford which the place is now known
Once a good place with plenty to give and show.

Catford was once place with many shops and gentle sites,
This part of South East London which caused plenty of fights.

There was a Woolworths, Comet and plenty of pubs around, 
Now the shops are stripped to barely a few,
Reminiscing what was once familiar and not so new.

The community is broken
It needs lots of investment to bring it back to a safer state,
The large Cat held on by RSJ bars is still there,
A global phenomenon, which became viral on the internet and for many is a love affair.

Catford is okay
People are genuine with everyday problems and successes, like us all,
There is a gym on the high street, based at Rushey green
I am proud to be called a Catfordtonian, despite the current situation hope isn’t a distant dream.
