You are you…and I am me

​Not everyone is for everyone 
That is what I’ve learnt in life, 
We all know this, but sometimes we need to be reminded,
Some situations require departure and a requirement to be decided.

We are who we are
Our voices, our faces, our size, our conversations and connections 
It’s our time seeking peace, along with prayer is the perfection.

We can’t be for everyone
There are people who simply don’t get your humorous ways
Some won’t laugh at your jokes and others shall be pleased to have stayed.

So be kind and be comfortable with you,
You can’t please and humour everyone, even the ones you love and crave 
So please don’t encase yourself to being a slave.
