Haven't we all been to that place, and simply ask 'why'?
Messed up with another drink, or sniff of coke, I suppose I was that kind of bloke.
I asked questions and did absolutely nought
I wonder what all this nonsense was all about?
So I shall start my story. Well... It began when I lost my Dad, well, we wasn't a set of keys!
'I would do anything to get him back, but the reality is he is now in heaven, so I won’t get him back, even if I said please.
I wanted a drink, to simply numb my chaotic and often frantic mind
I didn't think I had a problem, but then again I went through some life changing stuff that would have made anyone become blind.
I was fucked, off the wall in fact....
I hated life and simply wanted my Dad back.
You see, he was my best friend, my partner in crime
He didn't take my nonsense and if he saw what I was doing to myself he would simply kick my behind.
The drink took over, the kick for what I was doing, simply became my best friend
This story isn't particularly new for anyone here who is listening today,
we have all messed up somehow, but we are here to stand the test of time.
You see, the hit, the getting drunk, we all know what to eventually do,
I simply hope these words give you hope, and that we are today on the road to find our inner strength to reset, and simply recapture the new 'you'.
