I speak out loud
I am an advocate for the Diabetes community,
I am there to listen and learn too
I want to live a normal-ish life, and also have a clue.
It’s difficult when things inside start to wane
People can get angry, yet if I do there’s a chance my sugars plummet and become a bane.
Everything needs to be considered
Life, food and the people you meet,
If they get too much for you, you stop, relax and try your best,
if they are argumentative, I’ll prefer to thump them, the rest has already been said.
Carb counting, measuring and ‘getting on with it’ is part of the condition
There are others who say ‘I can’t live with that’ because they won’t put the effort in for their submission.
You become a better example
and you do learn everyday,
you should take your time with things, and allow people who are pent up to go away.
Life is a journey
Life is a problem too,
but as long as you continue to learn and keep trying through this chronic art
I shall end it there, from which I shall depart.
