Love being me

There was a time I didn’t like me 

I would drink to excess to think I’ll be free.

Now I don’t care

Love me, hate me or not quite sure 

I love myself to a balanced amount, and not an ounce more.

I suggest you do the same 

Laugh until you cry,

No one knows how long we have, 

so surround yourself with light minded people, the ones who exhibit positivity

And pray to God to a level of proximity.

We are all work in progress 

None of us can fully figure life out,

But as long we are in the game, then that’s worth a shout.

So be kind to you

You deserve that in the least,

Haven’t we tamed ourselves enough in this life? And with hope and prayer comes a release.
