Caring and not caring

​Caring is a human spiritual trait
Caring is loving and could save a mate,
Not caring is a struggle that you feel and that you see 
Not caring is a feeling of angst and you want to flee.

Caring is love poured in a cup
Not caring is that you personally ‘choose’ to give up.

Caring is showing kindness
Not caring is acting spineless,
Caring is the evident one to see 
Not caring is not what you ought to be.

Caring is life to await 
Caring is comfort, the place that should be fate,
Not caring is something I need when in defence
And not caring is something I choose not to commence.

We are all different

​We are all different 
Questions are asked why people react the way they do, 
I find it’s their business and no one else’s to ensue. 

We are all different
Some people are into their families, some are are not, 
I rather be left alone with God, as I know that shall be my lot.

I need a people greater than mine, 
I can’t do this on my own, 
Some people are good for me, some people need to leave me alone.

Some of us get angry
Some of us sulk and want to be left in peace, 
Others want to rejoice in other’s company, to instigate conversation 
Some want light minded fun and no further affiliation. 

I am tired of people these days, 
I don’t need to find a solution, I just want to walk this path alone
It doesn’t meant I won’t attend to others people or listen to see how they are, 
I rather focus on them instead, as the world I belong to is quite far.

Types of families

​You have loud families

For me? I prefer to be on my own… those who want that sort of togetherness are entitled to have their say.

When it hits (diabetes poem)

​you feel mortality when a hypo hits 
You feel your world crashing down, and you need to deal with other’s annoyances, the ones who try to break you into bits.

You feel the head lighten 
The chaos erupts,
You are doing your best to keep sugar levels balanced, in the attempt to not to give up.

The emotions are overwhelming 
You say to your partner ‘leave me alone’’
You want to shouts and ask “why!”
To be fair the sugars eventually rise as you begin to sigh. 

The fight is daily
Actual minute by minute in fact,
As long you keep trying, the odds against you are reduced and no longer stacked.

Aggressive hypoglycaemia attack

​you can’t avoid it, when a hypo takes place.. it shall you hard, 
And the problem I had was there was no holds barred. 

The condition is difficult, 
And that’s diabetes, type 1 for you, 
They say you get use to it, but when you have a hypoglycaemia attack
You will find out who shall have your back. 

You need to leave the person alone
They will slowly eat carbs to rise blood sugars, 
And they shall feel they are falling of a cliff
When all you want is a stable blood sugars levels, which gives you a lift. 

You need to stay calm
As the blow to the head takes full effect
I pray one day there is a cure for this condition, as I hope others will gain empathy towards us…. Rather than taking a hit?

​I prefer to be around light minded people,
Not those who are looking to argue or cause a debate,
They can’t do anything, they just cause others to go into a state.

I’ve got to an age I can’t be bothered with that sort of thing,

I can’t blame God for what I did to myself..

​I can’t blame God for the mess I put myself in,
I have already struggled with my mortality and the consequence was delivering sin.

I can’t blame God for pouring the drink down my throat,
Also some of the people in my which I choose to avoid,
It’s for my safety as the anger shouldn’t be toyed. 

I can’t blame God
I can simply tell them I don’t want to see them again, 
Meeting new people can be a risk, I can say with my heart it depends?

It’s God who is my first port of call
And when he acts in his timing, there is no consequences to cause a fall

I have tried....

I have tried to live my life, and 'it is what it is', so I shall say with words I feel 

I rather be with God, so peacefully, in my bed and that we show kindness which should be natural and real.

 

And there have been so many hasty decisions, 

I am not going to take my life, 

I'm here living in the present, so perhaps you can follow this path of 'trying' as most situations can have potential of rife. 

 

I tried, and I won't until the very end

I have tried taking my life twice, but God kept me here seeking to defend, 

And to be fair, the attempt felt liberating, 

and by God's grace he didn't me to go, so I need to stay here patiently waiting. 

 

I tried, and I can acknowledge I won't be liked by everyone.... especially today

and for me, that isn't  very important, I love God first, therefore, I shall love others, ... but for now I rather they stayed away.

 

And to be honest? If they 'don't get me'? That is okay with me to 

I have already been let down by the system, as today we are all firefighting and don't have a clue!

What’s happened to good manners?

​In the past people queued
And never jumped in front,
People were less frantic, yet technology and peoples chaos has caused us to hunt.

People back then had manners
People said ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ all of the time,
Now conversations take place when people over talk each other, as respect is a distant trait.. well that’s what I find!

People can be nosy c.it’s, but that’s been there before, 
People were more meticulous back then, now their speed has caused peoples head to feeling sore. 

Authorities don’t look out for regular folk, and I mean people who have been here for many years,
Now we are living in austerity.. and along with that instilled carnage and fear.

​I pray for calm in a world full of noise

 The day is almost over

some people have made it, 

some it's their last time on earth

all we know, we have failed and succeeded, for what it's worth.

 

We have loved

We have lost on the way, 

Some people who are not here have made it a melancholy feeling

But the fact is we are all going to a new home one day

This shell we live in is only temporary, 

we will be fit, large, intelligent and emotionally damaged

There is a hope that is limiting, but it can be managed.

 

We have the capacity to be kind

We have the capacity to be loving

We have the capacity to be silent and not say a word,

I rather over talk overs and choose not to disturb.

 

There is a light in us all

Let it be meditative and humble,

people with secular vision you can politely say 'goodbye' too

and pray to God for his wisdom from the moments we aim to ensue.

You need to be honest but some people look for an argument, so they are the people when you wear a mask.

I rather be humble, be still, silent and be at peace’

There are too many frantic people out there who cause haste.

The question needs to be removed from the news, 
who feed what you want to hear, 
they speak sh.t and add by stirring up fear . 

It’s messy out there
and the uncertainty is taking place all the time, 
it’s not about race, sexuality, gender which have taken precedence 
Those are pointless conversations, often what I see as rather dense.

you need to address the issues of homelessness and the people born here who are put in the bottom of the pile, 
and the other topics taking over, as those topics have no backbone and shouldn’t possess any guile.

These are words that can be seen as contentious and rude
but at least this is my opinion, and I rather die fighting by attacking the politicians who intrude. 

Help the people who were here first’
is that so much to ask, 
but the authorities have put people in this position today
as one day we will wake up from this nightmare and everything shall go back to being okay.

​You don’t know how good you are?
We live in the ‘moment’, so we say: “we get on with it” along with a forlorn of words that can take you far.

We look for answers from questions others pose
We live in a chaotic world that does not know,
We ask questions and don’t know the answer and can’t be bothered to find out… 
The answer is already inside you without second guessing 
There is hope for everyone, these emotions won’t be ‘messing’.

We are in a world that struggles
But we remain here to ‘fight the fight,’
Through God we can crave to reach a higher place
Staying humble and then later looking to embrace.

We are here to live the dream before shedding a tear
To give a talk in public, and have nothing or nobody to fear. 

We are here because God brought us to this place
Then there is the road when you have ‘free will’, so before you do anything pray first and then trace.

You may not be for everyone
And not everyone shall be for you,
Just be your authentic self and talk this walk with God… that’s my suggestion where you can renew.

You keep away from family and friends because you don’t want them to see you like this,

Some people don’t understand

​some people understand you

That’s what I should do,
The system had let me down, what can I pursue?

Someone said ‘leave it behind me’ they are right, that’s where it’s at.

The point is that I am seething 
Annoyed to feeling why have I lived here all my life?
Governed by rules and regulations when in the end they can cause headache and strife.

Mental health is at its highest 
Insane numbers that don’t go down,
And others don’t under your situation as today I don’t feel like acting a clown.

Does anyone care in authority?
I feel that they don’t,
It’s like that old saying: “I can give of myself but others won’t!”

Rejection from the system

​No one likes rejection 
Asking for systems to help you on this so called mighty land,
Sometimes we think we are looming towards a contraband. 

Yet we fight
Do don’t feel sorry for me!
People saying: “I am not acting myself!”
Yet I am here fighting, from this story I am about to tell. 

Systems fail us
Who today can we trust? 
Local systems? 
A church? or health organisation?
It’s all a farce and delivers false affirmation.

To be fair I am p@ssed off with the system
Which I once served for over twenty years,
This only confirms that God is the only one that I should fear.

It’s all about the heart

​You see, the light is there
We are all children of God, and there is plenty of good qualities we are able to share. 

But we do fall short, 
Blame one another.. 
When the fact is, none of us are perfect,
Yet through the eyes of God you are worth it. 

You may not feel you deserve
You may have committed the ultimate sin, 
There is a chance to redeem yourself, as God is the only one who ever wins.

You can be struggling with addictions 
And add domestic abuse, which filters through, 
I may hit a nerve right there, 
But the fact is, we all have the capacity to show love and towards us care.

Addictions and abuse is clearly not right, 
Facing trauma never entice, 
But you can go one way or the other, 
Become angry and or move to God
Nothing is perfect out there, nor you require anyone’s ‘up and down’ accepting nod.

You see, we are all f@cked
Been punched from here to there, 
I am simply keeping it real, hence this share.

Say a prayer each day
Over any financial win,
Money is temporary, God comes first and he is my first love, 
The goal is to never give up.

The importance of life is to stay balance 
Not to be erratic or chaotic in mind, 
That serves no one, neither are you being kind. 

The best thing anyone can ask,
It’s there, costs nothing as we face this world asked to wear plenty of masks.

It’s yours to imbue, 
What challenges lay ahead, remember to choose one and ensue.

Looking to be a ‘Peer’

​We give from our hearts 
As I agree a person; we are more than volunteers, 
We look towards better outcomes and perhap need to call ourselves ‘peers”?

It’s a message
Because we go above and beyond, 
Task orientated systems to look at a service where supports of addictions is offered,
We are working as a collective, looking at a trajectory place which we yet haven’t reached
The point of these exercises is look at service where we can develop and potentially teach. 

Some peers are comfortable for carrying the fort, 
Some look at strategies and review the operations which may rise or face a level of risk to cause a fault.

we are looking at support at the end of the day,
Are we focusing on governance or other commissioning cycles that shall have their say?

We review every 3 months?
And talk thereafter, 
we are focusing on better outcomes for the client as we know this isn’t always happy every after…

However, we do try our best
We give our lived experience point of view, 
I know personally I had to stop drinking alcohol, otherwise I wouldn’t be here,
There is plenty to review constantly.. so please focus in line with momentum, which shall arid any future fear.

Listen and feel the prayer

​I don’t care who you are;
Regardless if you are an academic, even if you struggle with language… the spirit within you can make you go far.

You are blessing for me, 
Because if you are reading these words, they are for you…
You are taking the time to fathom what is said
Always say a prayer for you and others, before you go to bed.

You see I believe, not in part, not 99.9% of the time
And even when I have my lapses, I need to pray to God in order to find.

I shall also raise the point, I do love Atheists, but can’t love them when I don’t believe
I need to forgive myself first in order to starting to receive. 

The moral of this poem is to love you and God because you start a single thing,
Have a coffee, or smoke a cigarette and read the paper, 
It’s about humbling your heart and remove this addictive habit.. which can be as a taker.

​I am here fight
And so are you,
Today needs to start.. does any of us on this earth have a clue?

I am here at the gym
Apprehensive about the weight I am about to lift;
32 kilograms on each arm, God has got this.. this is free will as well as a progressive gift. 

You can ask: “what have you done with this life?”
The fact is, does it really matter?
Even if you have been there for someone else in their time of need, this is about you, so thank for  having the time indulge into these words… and read.

The message is to never give up, ever… 
Despite your darkness days 
The storm is already coming… but anxiety doesn’t always stay.

​Look at the stars
They possess an array that is near, 
There is a power of love which is enticing to endear. 

Look to the moon
Which is never far away, 
Event from through the tears which run down my cheek, 
I am getting closer to where God wants me to eventually peak.

Look to the skies
There is a higher power holding you close,
God is there fighting your battles, there is nothing quite like it when you break… and then start to coast.

Look to yourself
And your relationship with God which you hold inside,
There is plenty to be thankful for, the Father in heaven is always besides your side.

​It comes out of nowhere,

I have messed up on a number of occasions,
Can I take it back, hell no…!
It’s that time of euphoria and the time you are unable to go slow. 

We are a family, 
We are in this together,
On occasions why know what is the best thing to do, but the fact is we weren’t being clever.

There is a road you need to lead
And sometimes the wrong turns takes place, 
Remember, you are never alone my friend, the darkness shall turn light.. that is what I want us all to embrace.

​who said we had to help everyone?
We can only do what we can to help
So accept these words as a ‘lift’
Your timing to support another person is a glorified gift. 

It’s not about ‘I’ it’s about ‘we’
The world is troubled enough can’t you see?

People looking for debate
Untangling the troubles placed from the past,
It’s about seeking calm, that shan’t always last.

People come into your lives 
And sometimes you are present with them because God says, 
It’s your inner resolve through prayer which strengths and lays.

Support one person
And if they refuse that’s fine, 
We are here for a period of time so make it last,

Tragedy behind the comedy

​I am in the gym
Waiting to push the next set of heavy weights,
There is angst within myself, so what am I to debate? 

I am ready to push 
Go for it hard, 
Motivation is prevalent as there is no holds barred. 

I am here at 5am doing for what I only truly know,
I am ready to fight and have plenty to show.

As long there is breath in my lungs and a will to succeed,
People tend to know me for my laughter and quick witt,
When I know I can be a bit of a ‘git’.

We all know laughter is the best medicine,
It has a place where darkness makes your familiar,
When in truth is the two truths are not too dissimilar!

80s films..

​The 80s genre
What a wonderful mix, 
Today it’s all about computers to generate our entertainment 
Back then it was driven by spirit of will and sheer attainment.

‘Superman 2, 3 and 4, and ‘Back to the future’ to name a couple
Then there was ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ And ‘Elmo’s fire’, 
Along with ‘Tron’ and ‘Bladerunner’ which were futuristic desire. 

It wasn’t perfect with aesthetic bodies and armoured bodied suits 
As the comedy flourished with ‘Police academy, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
And to start that decade there was that classic titled: ‘Staying Alive’.

There are so many that I have probably missed, 
Rocky 2, 3 and 4 
and Michael Keaton’s ‘Batman’ which brought us to the edge of our seats and core.

There was ‘Beatle Juice’ and ‘Beverley Hills Cop’
As these were the films that kept our spirits raised as this era paved the way to new array… the ones’ that mean a lot.

​That sort of love never leaves
What you see in your heart, trust me, your inner power.. you shall always receive. 

The person may have left
But there are there in your heart, 
the love of others passing for their spirit is merely the start.

They say when you die you won’t see them again!
In my personal opinion there is always a transparency for which you can depend.

We pray for the love they provided
And even if they struggled, but you continue to love them so, 
There is a prayer that is mindful and shan’t ever go.

Death is inevitable 
That can’t ever be stopped,
When you have lost a loved one, that feeling shall always mean a lot.

For you Ruth… God spoke to me❤️

​God spoke to me
I was only going for a coffee to say a prayer, 
Then when you walked in God said: ‘your suitor is now here’.

I didn’t know what was going on?
I was phenomenally perplexed, 
I said to God to myself: “what’s going on?”
God then replied “you know me son, I am never wrong”.

So I thought if God sends you a blessing accept with with arms open wide, 
Mind you, you are beautiful Ruth as this wasn’t a normal date through the past trials I confide. 

You may pose questions I don’t understand
Then iron does sharpen iron, 
Even though one day we shall be entering into Zion. 

You know God speaks to me by asking me to write in a poetic verse
As these words just flow and later could be rehearsed. 

So as I say ‘I LOVE YOU’ that comes from within 
Thank the Lord for this moment of love 
It’s a blessing which fits like a glove.

There is a time to talk..

​There is a time to talk
There is a time to simply keep still, 
There is a time you require to be at peace with you
Looking towards integrity, and for the goals which you pursue.

And even if you don’t know what you are about to achieve?
Go with it, and if you lack the patience to get the job done then I am sure you’ll find something up your sleeve.

People can be c..ts!
That is without a shadow of doubt, 
Even if you ask why they are who they are?
My personal opinion there is calmer out there, and that isn’t that far.

It doesn’t matter what you think of others, 
There is a defining moment that can make your bone shudder,
So if something tries to get underneath your skin
Speak to yourself, and can then ‘a p…k’, that shall bring out a grin….🤣

So speak your truth,
If others don’t agree, then that is fine,
You are still a great person, regardless what others define.

​Believe it or not, you are not alone
If you believe that, then you need to ask what is now set in stone?

There is something out there, 
You may have not found it yet!
You are better than you know, as nothing in this life is a sure bet.

You are never alone 
I can promise you that, 
Yes, it depends what state is occurring in your mind, 
But ask yourself this? At what point to yourself that you were ever kind?

I walk away from pessimism, even though I know it exists 
I rather do things on my terms, then I have it on my conscious for mistakes that I didn’t dismiss. 

So goodbye my dear friend,
I can’t take your problems away,
But I promise you this, there is a presence to say I am happy you have stayed.
