You are getting gradually older,
You know? Little bit content..
God is protecting you, you don’t need to give anything up for lent.
You lay in your bed
Looking out onto the world,
You are looking to stay humble and mild
Instead of neglectful and wild.
I care for you, but not as much as God does,
The example brought through, from his son
The wonderful human, who had fought this battle.. and duly won.
I look at alcohol
And I don’t need it that much,
As long as you believe God is thoughtful and is holding your hand
Then good on you, for leading onto his stand.
