It hurts a little
I am a little sad, and feeling a bit brittle.
I aim to love
I am to rejoice,
I never wanted to hurt anyone, especially through this voice.
I am a tad sad
A lot in fact
I need to pray to feel less righteous in my thought
And embrace the Father from where I need to be taught.
I love the thought of loving
And others critique needs shoving;
Be kind to your needs
And accept the tears from my eyes
Moving forward and ride with the tide.
