it’s about you, the journey you endured
That no one can judge but can try to understand,
the pressure lifted when the words are released at a point you no longer feel strand.
You speak your hope for others to witness,
Don’t be shy, even though nerves play there part,
the path of sobriety has many facets which depart.
The talk brings a tear,
these words are closer to your inner self,
You entered onto this journey through what you thought was a benign stealth.
You start with blindness
thinking you deserve this reward, when addictions is a path of impoliteness ,
remember, you learn a lot about yourself when things fall apart
just remember a higher power is rooting for you, from this brand new start.
