Do you remember the days

Do you remember the days we were a little more relaxed and sustained,

We embraced change, not like today, that’s deranged!

Remember, we didn’t have mobile phones,

progression is what they call it now,

I may be sending a message through this form

But once it wasn’t the norm.

we waited for TV programmes that came at a scheduled time,

our speed had its place and used when we needed too,

now we are fast at everything, quick wins they call it now, as patience now is quite a few.

There are prayers to rely on these days,

they are humbling and calm us down, as all shall be eventually okay.

People now turn to their phones and do not speak to each other,

hence this prayer (and poem) for my sister and brother.
