Sport doesn’t always involve politics
It involves a good hard slog to reach the ultimate heights,
This is a passionate battle imbued for participants to enlight.
No matter who is victorious
Pray for the game of peace to always shine through,
And that the grass courts of tennis is just not for cows to chew.
There is a passion
A lift of the soul and bring a nation to their feet,
Remember the summer of sport isn’t about victories gained
It’s about the contrast of sport to elevate, as well as maintained.
