I pray for the utmost

I pray for love to be easy

I pray for love to feel light and breezy,

I pray for the light to shine on us all

And I pray for eternal hope as inevitably we shall fall.

I pray for the “why’s” to be answered and that love reigns supreme,

I pray for friendship to be humbled and honest, and that quietness isn’t a feign.

I pray for the friendship we hold us cherished and adored,

And that distance from friendship isn’t taken personally, as all roads could be floored.

I pray for time away to clear the efforts which you need to deal,

And that race, culture and faith are embraced, and that your heart needn’t feel of hard steel.
