Efficiency was ther, yet time was valued more
Now we face the essence of speed that is an overwhelming and resentment deplores.
Those times faced challenges
Race relations wasn’t at it strongest,
Wars too took place, but music was far more uplifting and and cool
You didn’t need to refer to your phones and act with speed in order to feel like a tool.
Not everything was a ‘quick fix’
Those were times where you thought people actually cared,
Now people don’t have the patience to listen to anyone who speaks slowly
Perhaps, we need to stand back and look at those times more less mind-blowingly.
The 1980s and those years before didn’t have what we do have now
We have progressed in many things, but are we keeping it real
I am honoured and privileged I was part of a time where time didn’t involve my phone or a tablet to quicken a task
The humility of reduced speed is far more protective and less harsh.
