I choose my time to be distant,
I choose my time to see the perception of others,
From that time, they are not my people to follow or bother.
I keep my distance wisely
I see what the other person is aiming to do,
I can’t entertain conversation with them, this is my direction to ensue.
I choose my time to speak to God
Where I discern and speak my peace,
If I don’t want to be around you, don’t take it personally… that’s my strength to release.
I choose wisdom
I choose humour from the back and front foot,
I know what works for me, and that’s my distance from you
I am on this earth to do God’s work, from which I need no further clue.
