God has got us each day
We fight with ourselves as we rather lay our heads away.
God has got us
Despite the remarks we frequently make,
Negative feelings do nothing for our spirits, and simply do this thing called ‘take’.
And when I say ‘take’
I have learned from you, no more speaking in this embittered vein,
We do love each other, and to be honest, there’s nothing more humbling that prayer cannot sustain.
So goodnight, I love you
That’s all I need to say,
One day I’ll be hugging you, where nothing else shall get in the way.❤️
