Parents

Parents.. some are good
Some are not so great,
If the latter, you have to love you
Their acceptance does not always provide a clue.

I have become stoic
And Yet I have become poetic,
Trust in faith I need
Otherwise I look to an empty vessel and struggle to breathe.

Be nice to yourself
Be nice to your heart
Be nice to your faults
For they are the crucks from which you are taught.

Parents can be nice
Parents can be self consumed
Parents can be challenging
Parents sometimes need a hammering!!

In the light of Day you are you
And they are them
If you believe in prayer and an open day
The growth of your humanity shall arrive your way.
