When you arrived on this earth I was truly blessed

this year we may put our eggs in a basket and then get tired, 

The human spirit can be a little presumptuous and a tad wild.

This is common news.. when focused, as there’s no place for haste.

Edify is when you improve on your health

Improve for what God wants for you in balance of wealth.

Improve your love for someone

Don’t protect them by keeping them away from destruction 

They won’t experience life’s situations in a tame disruption.

Edify the potential you have inside

Read a book, go on course.. some you can confide.

Edify the love of God’s plan which is for you

And that all things possible is a belief which you can ensue.

Why did I do it?

That rash act against gods will,

He still says ‘I still love you’, there’s the golden ticket.. in which you that’s the deal.

I know it was a silly mistake

Now I am in a position to stop beating myself to a pulp,

And the irrational thought,

The quick fix to make a losing battle fickly right

And there are those words which elevate… you know? ‘the heat of the fight’.

The eyes are open

The energy is there and it begins to start

A coffee, a prayer or even a workout which pumps blood into your heart.

You look to move, see the world for what it is

Reading the papers for your judgemental view

Or removing yourself from that information as the day is ready to pursue.

This may be the day for great change

Or this may not be the time when you need to attack,

Attempting to stay positive and spiritually avoid to slack.

Or even others who you don’t get,

At the end of the day it’s another day, where you look to focus… and reset.

Avoidance to answer a question

Peace of mind of solace released,

If you ask a question; be prepared to accept this is something you already know

So why ask the question, provoking doesn’t allow you to grow!

If you want a debate

Speak to someone who isn’t too concerned,

You won’t bring the best out of that person

Inflamed feelings, that’s for certain.

Working in institutes where you question all the time

Sometimes the answer is staring you in the face,

But you ask someone who isn’t interested, that’s not a reflective place.

My brain needs peace

Not a forlorn of questions that serve no purpose,

Then again ‘we are all different’ in what makes us grow

Sometimes in order to go fast, you must also start to walk that bit slow…

We can question,

I suppose it’s part of life,

Isn’t it about edifying others to avoid contemptuous strife?

We all make decisions

Some good, bad or indifferent 

The time you reclaim, 

through reflection one day you shall be able to obtain.

Not every walk can be right

A break away from others isn’t a bad thing, we simply need to recalibrate to find our true sight.

God leaves you to see

The hand of time never loses it’s embrace,

So therefore remain still and ‘do’ nothing, this isn’t to act on any other haste.

Yes, I am or you are not perfect

Where I don’t always reverse the conversation on me,

I listen, process and say little when react

It’s all God’s timing, which is a humble fact.

I pray for you,

I may like or dislike the person whom I am placed to meet

I look to God for answers, that’s where I begin to retreat.

I keep remain still, say little and refuse to question any stone unturned

I am talking to God right now, this moment is when I discern.

I remain still, little needs to be done

No activity, it’s through God where we have won.

Tomorrow I find that humble place, 

In the end it’s eternal life we look to thrive towards…and then we shall embrace.

Do you remember we laughed until it wholeheartedly hurt?

Do you remember the tears of joy through a calamity which dispersed.

We can all hurt each other

That’s what life can do,

Trusting in someone to protect you, yet sometimes you don’t have a clue.

The other person may come across immature and perhaps say something hurtful

Does that sound familiar or slightly stained?

We look to life as a chance 

A chance to meet the right people but may fall in a trap,

Boundaries that are implemented for protection 

Through prayer it’s balance reflection.

Lord I thank you for this celebration when a saviour was born,

Christ, our great counsellor saved us from all being torn.

May the presence of life bring you happiness and joy

People do have a way of sticking around

Sometimes you are upset with them, but through each other’s hearts you pleased that each other have found.

Thank the heavens for forgiveness, which often for me makes me astound.

There are times we struggle what’s the purpose

The time to reflect and move on,

Leaving the past behind and then restore to then to aim to become strong.

You ask others to leave you alone

They are contentious and truly annoying,

You shout at them and then regret it; what are now knowing?

You look to hope 

You look to the people once there,

They are no longer around, where are the goods ones’ now we can no longer share.

Their flesh decays 

Their spirit is always strong,

Looking to that perfect life, or that contentment 

Avoiding that feeling of resentment.

Yes, we all struggle with the King of kings

Asking him question for what anything brings,

People who frustrate you, can’t they just leave

I suppose when you break there is always the Father in heaven from the strength you look to retrieve.

They may leave or stay for many a season.

There’s a reason why they stay

And perhaps they through God shan’t go away,

I simply pray to God for their protection on the pillow I write this and lay.

Surround yourself with positive people

People who edify and lift your spirit,

Prayerful souls who capture your intentions within it.

People who says: “that’s sad” are simply saying it as it is

Prayers cause an uplift and lead to a gracious path,

Sometimes the devil uses others with devious wrath.

Surround yourself with love

Surround yourself with hope,

Look to God for answers when feeling high and even low

The encouragement from a prayer can condition your mind and spirit through a stow.

Surround yourself through upbeat people, people that will enlighten

The ones who say: “They don’t know what they are saying” through a concoction of sporadic words

As those you need to avoid to be around, 

as the devil shall do everything to put you in that group.

Often the heart jumps when finding love 

There’s a place you always look to the above.

There is a blindness when a loved one passes

Don’t worry, they are looking over you to keep you safe,

Better to have loved

Accepting two souls as one,

The good, bad and balanced times 

The lost of a loved one shall heal the wound that you’ll find.

And then lose the flesh which no longer moves,

Time moves on

You can’t claim it back,

People who once protected you, are now no longer there

Through faith they shall always be sometime to share.

I believe I can be accepted

Even if others don’t understand my ways,

I am starting to love who I am, as I hope that trait continues to stay.

I may not feel I fit in

Do I need others approval for that?

I am what I am, as I use to question every corner to seek

The world isn’t perfect, but I continue to find where I do aim to peek.

I am God’s child first

I do my best whatever path that shall lead,

If others do not accept my character, then they can go elsewhere to look to feed.

I pray each day and hold my account to the full

Yet your gifts are inside of you, to release a counter which is withstanding.

Are we suppose to fit in?

Not really, I don’t care what others think!

Yet judgement is often there, so people at this moment in time can be kept at bay.

Do I fit in?

Well you are who you are, with the temperament you hold,

Others may not understand it 

yet your character shall unfold and become fit.

The time to move forward was graciously and sublime.

Lleyton Hewitt won Wimbledon that year

The economy was healthy, where generosity caused no fear.

People were kind

Phones weren’t the in thing,

Fun was going out dancing and talking 

Arsenal were the untouchables and won without stalling.

A guy called Peter won the world snooker title 

The menacing presence of Stephen Hendry didn’t prevent him from winning, which made Peter’s victory more insightful.

I joined the health service which I thorough enjoyed

My life was fun, social and lived to its best

I can look back a those times now, I now need to go and rest.

You live with a condition

Complex it can be,

Testing and injecting insulin doesn’t make you feel at all free.

You learn to talk about it

Manage the condition the best that you can,

Then there are the lows, which recede like a contraband.

You try to stay positive 

And when not testing or injecting you forget this challenge isn’t there,

No size fits all when it comes to this 

Trying your best and no trick you shall attempt to miss.

Aim to be positive

Pray to God that this condition isn’t there,

One thing in common, for those who live with type 1 diabetes there’s plenty for us to share.

Don’t rely on me, but on God, the spirit is there to share.

You can feel sorry for yourself, that is allowed,..but for not too long

The point is that you should pray, it could be for a minute or even an hour, but it shall make your situation eventually strong.

We have all fallen short from our strength

The point is not to beat yourself up,

I am asking you to stay focused and achieve through prayer

There is plenty of hope in God to share.

Question for a purpose

People ask that question ‘why? ‘

Often it’s said, but dissecting the answer can become a sigh.

Ask the question by all means, but do ask the right person

Don’t say: ‘you don’t know what you are talking about’ 

Those words are frustrating and could lead to an instigation shout.

It’s good to ask questions, but ask why you are asking?

Are you being nosy, or asking from a genuine place?

I rather pray and discern for the outcome, that leads to a less questionable haste.

Leave it with God, he knows what the answer is

Don’t speak to God for being nosy,

Speak to God because a genuine outcome can feel spiritually ‘cosy.’.

Todays weather can be bright or rainy 

I know if I follow the source I shall avoid being that little zany.

I respect the space you have 

I do respect the peace you need,

We are all from the source of God, from where we can openly feed.

We try to stay optimistic

The balance of the mind can be prayerful, which prevents anything that leads to becoming distort.

We all have a choice

Circumstances may cause a surprise,

2023

A year I shall never forget 

How did it actually start,

Bullied at in my job so took time out

21 years NHS service and lack of empathy at home

I really didn’t know what path God was leading me to, I never felt so alone.

Then my Dad became suddenly unwell and I didn’t want to stay with Mum,

She says I am rude and obnoxious 

I know I have a big heart but I was moving to become unconscious. 

My Dad decided to go to heaven 

I couldn’t stay at home, as I now know I wasn’t 11.

I went to people who cared for my wellbeing 

The problem I faced is that I wasn’t seeing.

I tried to take my life with a bout of insulin but that failed,

I was struggling with my feelings as all wanted to is shout loud.

The year was uncomfortable 

It was eggshell stuff I couldn’t comprehend,

Despite how hard I was trying to survive

I can only thank the Lord that I am still alive.

“My 2023… they say iron sharpens iron, but this is taking the piss”

Angry

Releasing this awkward feeling 

I hate this notion as I want to let this out

But someone riles you, which leads to an uncanny shout.

I am effing peed off

Someone trying to advise when they haven’t been in your place before,

“Now eff off” you haven’t experienced what I have faced from the moment I was saw.

I know I am not perfect 

Yet controlling people think they know best,

They can simply eff off as through my time with God I shall find my zest.

I am scared when I get into this state

I know I need to snap out of it, as I want to remove this disastrous feeling of hate.

I am saying ‘sorry’ every time someone says something to me

All I want is unbreak these fucking chains and be set free.

God? Why do we have ups and downs?

Sometimes I struggle with my diabetes and people are attempting to make me drown.

Most people like a drama or gossiping trending, 

I rather they go away, as my body and heart belongs to the utmost high

God? There are people talking on a  round table, the context is not all bad

People need to release their opinion, it’s only when childish behaviours demonstrate which leads to a strand.

Life can be a constant struggle, especially when others are not radiating in your presence,

So this victory wasn’t one for the fairies.

Ricky Ashley sang “never give you up”

Boris Becker retained his Wimbledon singles title at 18 

And politics had its place when it came to debating.

Liverpool football club did the double for the very first time

You also got more for your money back then, regardless if it was a pound, dollar or a yen.

There were no smartphones but Computers did lift off, 

Popular music was joyous to the ears,

Eze-e, Fat Larry’s band, Tpau and Christopher Cross sung “sailing” 

There was Jaws 1,2 and 3….

There was brilliance in this none digital life 

We didn’t have internet which causes gossip and that bit of rife.

Don’t get me wrong, things do evolve 

But back then the answer to the question was calmer and much easier to solve.

There is a hug awaiting which you shouldn’t refuse… especially when you feel bold.

Not argue or fall out when a topic of race divides us,

I try to look at God’s love, then we can ultimately trust.

Wouldn’t it be simple if we could accept, and not be lame.

Of course…, murder, rape and other misdemeanours are disgusting 

God will reign judgement on them which will release combusting.

People, black, white, orange and green

Balanced opinions and loving hearts, not the colour outside.. 

do people want us to gel… or shame and divide…

Basically be a good person, and if ostracising takes place.. call it out

Don’t make it political or mention that group are to blame…

Losing everything and avoiding to be famished.

Thinking with The S.U.N.

Times before I wondered where to turn?

How did I get myself into this position, is there anything I could can learn?

My mental health was at a block

I used to be strong… you know? Just like a rock!

The S.U.N. encourages engagement, a possible way through

I take many positives from this system, which I am blessed to imbue.

I turned to the left, right, up and then down

Before the S.U.N. movement came into fruition 

I never opened up as I thought not everyone would understand my position, 

as my mental health contrasted like a juxtaposition.

I thank the team to for giving me hope

I thank the team for asking me questions, 

which helped me through getting away from mental health detention.

I feel thankful and now feel blessed

A prayer warms love 

A prayer lifts souls,

A prayer is a motivation to encourage

A prayer leads to a positive light

A prayer elevates your trauma, and prevents it to worsen.

A pray is your armour to fight off the devils attack

It’s okay to be kind to people

Not these harden souls who may look at you as feeble.

It’s okay to say you are not right

And that you need support to overcome an addictive fight.

It’s okay to say I need help

No disgrace calling away along with a yelp.

It’s okay to say you have messed up and got into unruly habits,

And we must get on with what life has in store,

What should we do more of? Pray to God that little bit more.

Fighting a cold

Fighting a cold

The devil has never had a hold,

You take something for it and pray

Lay your head restfully on the comfy hay.

Tired and wiped out

A few tablets but you are then again stout,

Working it through, so don’t give in

Pray to God for a recovery, and all the nutrients rids the sin.

I feel awful 

Yet the light is around the corner,

Stay positive, Father..show us the light

Prayers are powerful as life is within sight.

Love and prosper 

Fight and fight some more,

Through the father in heaven, he has got you… he created you as he is the one he adore.

Try it, praying

It’s uplifting and spiritual 

It’s joyous and never at all detrimental.

Praying is a light

Praying defeats the Devil’s lucid fight,

Praying can be flowing

Praying doesn’t always need to be showing.

Praying is free will

Yet I argue, praying is the deal.

Look up, down and side to side

Praying is the surrounding from which we all should confide.

Praying is a gift

Praying is a lift,

Tomorrow you should also pray

Just like today, which is forever and a day.

Pray for negativity to leave

If you say you are a realist 

And speak of topics that cause harm,

Avoid that conversation, and that person, you do not need to avoid anything that causes a negative swarm.

Prayers overcome worry

So do not become sorry, 

Live life to its full,

I suppose most of us are working on that, so now failure when you fall. 

Stay still and remain at peace

Moving all the time can rattle the mind,

Be kind to you first, there is plenty of good to find.

If you say “that’s the problem” then find an answer 

If you don’t know the solution then why talk about something that breaks 

God comes first… and he never ever forsakes.

I am praying for you

Despite my mental health,

You are just as important despite the demands of through anyone’s stealth.

I pray for you to enlighten

Please do not be frightened,

Yes, the battle is almost over

Through the son of God there shall be definitely closure.

Hope is also part of that,

Pray to the Father, he shall see where you are at.

Live for today

Move when it’s prayerfully right

There is a warm heart inside of each of us that shows us the light.

When you are bored

When bored

There is plenty to do,

Go for a walk or even a run

Bring out a book, or take out a paper, pen or pencil;

These are just a few things to occupy the mind

Be open to new challenges, in your heart you shall be truthful to find.

Even if you start to over think?

You begin to ask many unnecessary questions, 

So take out that pen or paper, or even book

These are the sort of things to occupy you, and to not over look. 

Be kind to yourself and to those who are kind to you

If they say they are alright and don’t need any help,

Don’t dwell, focus on you, you shan’t need to yelp.

Ultimately be kind to you

God always says to can always speak to him, 

This shall bring the mind to a spiritual place 

No yelling required, just the spirit of the Father to embrace.

Life can be unfair

We ask questions “why can sometimes be unfair”

Looking for answers from the moments we genuinely do care.

People leaving us too soon

People trying to take their lives, yet God has made them return

The world is full of questions which only the Father can only make you learn.

People from small families

Thinking who people with big families have that more,

I simply think surround yourself with positive people

The negative remarks aren’t realistic, they rile the debate and cause you to feel feeble.

Pray for families, or people on their own

A person from a big family is not more fortunate than someone on their own,

Because ultimate reflection is a singular moment and not a blood line which brings you joy

Focus on God first, as it’s the devil he has already destroyed.

The day we need to worship

Pray, and pray that little bit more, 

The more we adore the hope where this life leads

There are always consequences, and often there are times you do bleed.

We sing in worship knowing we are broken

I raise my arms up to sing the joy of a new dawn,

Through the moment over 2000 years ago a saviour was genuinely born.

This isn’t fictitious or made up

This is the ultimate truth, 

The time the prodigal son returns, all shall be revealed as nothing else shall become loose.

Don’t speak negative, brush that feeling away

Politics has no place to control you, through the perennial heart of God you shall be able to stay.

Whatever works

Some people need to speak

For the reason they have no one to talk to, so need that conversation more

I pray for peace and quiet as volume is something I no longer adore.

I need peace

Some need to speak and release,

Some are more clinical and know what to act from their mind,

Discerning and able to achieve what they find.

Some need love

Some need distance,

Some want someone to cuddle up too

The natural feels we at some point knew.

Some people I love 

Some people I am not keen on, but I do pray for them

The release of hope is God’s ten out of ten.

Yes, the hope God’s son returns

As long we stay humbled, we can also become stern.

Stay strong

It’s hard sometimes, simply pray to remain strong

You think it would be that simple, but really you wondered how did it ever go wrong?

You simply pray, God shall do the rest..

There is no need to argue with him, just love him, and through him you shall feel the truthfulness of his zest.

Stay strong

And hold my hand

There is always a hug too, to keep you near,

Don’t be angst anymore, God shall never make you fear.

And if you do feel the fear, it’s not God’s doing

Simply have that conversation with him, only the bad stuff going on is what he shall look to ruin.

Hold a dear one close, if you don’t have that speak to God

The pain shall eventually leave

Hold your prayers closer, there is nothing else to receive.

Blessed by those who witnessed this Angel’s presence,

Yet they have been taken too soon,

We pray for this Angel, who shall be sorely missed

Heading to a new home where this angel shall receive a blesseth kiss.

Loving and protective to other children who she surround 

Her life taken too soon, but honoured to have met this wonderful soul who inside is still found.

Blessed and loved 

Adored and hardworking,

Humbled and cherished

For all those who loved this Angel shall understandably will come to be missed.

So pray to the Angels to love this beautiful soul for eternal life

No more hurt or pain… simply a place of gentle rest,

Trying to focus

Prayers are said through discipline 

It’s a free flowing and a reward

You are praying for you and others, and never untoward.

Prayers are the light 

Prayers are the strength to retain. 

Staying with God daily shall refute you to ever wane.

You are then light to lift others souls

Don’t be a drain, move forward and say “I have arrived”

The Lord and our saviour releases gift for you, as you have done more than ‘simply survive’.

Don’t beat yourself up

Instead destroy it at the gym,

There is always light

We are often seeing our wrong ways

Now it’s time to compliment yourself and remind yourself: “that I am good”

It’s a reflection of positivity in the way we should all speak, and should.

Do not feel down trodden 

The light is there to fight on,

 and asking what did go wrong?

You haven’t failed, you have just tried again

People will remind you, but what does that do to the spirit?

Encourage it? Or knock it down?

I say that I am sorry

I mean that from the bottom of my heart,

But believe me, I am trying to make peace

They drew the first three games, then beat Argentina, Brazil, Poland and Germany to achieve imaginable to reign.

Alex Higgins won the world snooker title

He came back from the cusp of defeat to beat ‘Whirlwind White’ in the semi and overcame Reardon to reign supreme

This was a platform of his heroics, were like a poetic dream.

There was the Sinclair c5, the electronic bike to take on a new path

And now the generation of excellence was taking a new dimension, a moment to trance.

Connors beat McEnroe to capture the all England Mens tennis single title,

He won it in five gruelling sets to silence the nay sayers who said he was on his way out

His vigour and determination on the tennis court was followed on from his familiar buoyant chanting shout.

The year was uplifting with many great tracks to embellish popular cultural trend 

As people wore flares, as chatting was the tapestry we all requainted to enthrall our blend.

Dad’s Day

It’s that time again, Dad would have been 82

He wouldn’t made a fuss, as he just wanted to chill

His presence was wonderful, that was my internal thrill. 

He was a diamond

He said it as it is, 

If he didn’t like you would know

He was one of a kind who didn’t do anything slow. 

He was my friend, and the man in-charge,

He wanted a quiet life, but with these erratic Cypriots around he would have my back,

This breed is an acquired taste 

I say that without any haste 

Born in Cyprus and arrived to Hoxton, he said it without sugar coating any words,

He wasn’t into long diction just simply a matter of fact

Happy birthday Dad when that day arrives 

He is still a ‘is’ and for those who knew him, that’s no surprise.

Praying for a good week

Lord I pray for light

Lord I pray that I am able to turn the other cheeks through fights.

I pray for my brother and my sister 

Allowing us to walk this godly path that avoids a blister.

Lord I love this life that I currently struggle

Openings awaiting through the challenges which are squash in a muddle.

Lord I pray the days are bright and hopeful

Even if they are dark they are not woeful.

Today I pray for strength 

And keep negativity further at arm’s length,

I pray for those I am not fond of to be okay

And through a powerful prayer their light is able to stay.
