Seize the day
Fight it through, 
Love with all your heart, it’s not easy what you do actually see in you!

Yes, edify your heart
Use strength almost every second of the day,
Keep yourself in God’s love.. in fact he has the final say.

You are blessed to be breathing 
If you are denying the Father you it doesn’t mean you are leaving? 
So take a chance, win or lose 
Your walk is about the faith which is more than just to amuse.

​Every day is a blessing 
Tomorrow has now arrived and now has past,
Wins and losses shall humble or inspire
What is truly your hearts desires?

Today is a victory despite the fall
You may appear numb despite appearing to look tall.

So be nice to all people 
Show peace within your heart,
The road to humility comes from a balance which you can never mask.

Show kindness 
Show the other person you won’t be perplexed,
Try not to get into uncanny positions of uncertainty for what to do next.

Life is the ultimate complexity

Falling over

​Some of us have had it all..
Some are too guarded and won’t be able to fall,
But there are moments we hit a place 
Trickery of errors caused by haste.

Scared and losses cause an impact to your mental health,
There are nasty people out there to take your money,
This is a serious issue and those who commit serious insult, should take upon these words, as the act isn’t funny.

Haven’t we all felt awful and felt you lost it all,
Tears are straining, as the outcome wasn’t your call. 

Treat how you want to be treated,
The lack of morals cause a tremendous amount of pain,
May God see to those who cause harm to his children.. as my human skeleton wouldn’t be able to refrain.

10 years today…

​10 years today I declared the lord and saviour to work inside of me,
Through this blessing to you God you have avoided myself to flee.

Flee from the old life I once had,
The times of impulsiveness, addictions and the times that lead myself to become insanely mad.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve made mistakes along the way,
And people eager to point out when I thought it’s my life and knew best,
Speak to the Father, the omnipresent spirits that’s around,
Its joy through the Father I’ve comeback to have found. 

So as I celebrate with these words that come from the heart, 
May God find you as we thank him for the air we breath today, 
Knowing the spirit lives in us, as the light of the world has always led the way.

​Today I face another hypo
An attack which the body can’t always take,
People with no empathy, listen to these following words:
The danger can’t be avoided, nor disturbed. 

I could stay at home moaning, despite knowing what we need to do!
Are we self consumed? Or should be pursue?

We can be in pain but the problem is still there,
So what are you going to do now about it? Look at the walls and stare? 

Be inspired by the wet or even sweat

​I am a simple soul
And like most of us broken in so many places,
I’ve been through a lot of trials and delved in impulsive embraces.

I’ve seen like many other places and mistakes glaring in my face,
I’ve said horrible things too because of pride; and yes, this lead me to spiritually break.

Yet I’ve pulled through, like many others who I’ve met on this path
Times of angst and tribulation, as the devil was you back on his team so you can face his wrath.

There was times I faced the bullying,
Rebelling with ignorance, strength training and a safeguard for protection,

Hypo fighting at the gym

​Fighting through a hypoglycaemia at the gym,
Proving to yourself this is standard and you are not going through at a whim.

We are all so different 
For me, I can prove to myself I can overturn this condition,
Not feeling sorry for myself with another exercise rendition. 

For myself it’s about fighting, 
Getting the best version out of yourself,
Getting to that next step when you fight for breath 
And that feeling for not setting for anything else less.

I know we are here for so long
Accepting we will do right and also wrong, 
Living for peace as one day that shall arrive

​it only takes a smile to make things right,

I suppose you need to get the blood pumping,
I rather attack the gym, do cardio and heavy weights,
The aim is to be inspired and let God lead your fate.

Pressing buttons on a screen is the life we live today,
The beauty of people, you can accept them, or leave them at arms way. 

The most important thing is, be kind to you, 
Medicate, speak your truth and walk away,

Stop being impulsive

​I use to be impulsive 
Reactive with all that I did, 
Falling over and denying myself in my mind, at the times that I wanted to rid.

I use to be polite but also gullible
I could have been taken as a fool, 
The side of my head was looking for pleasure but the fact is that I wasn’t being at all cool.

I use to be blinded
Fall in the most difficult of traps,
Now I suggest don’t go to that path, cut your losses and hold off where you are currently at.

There are moments of enlightenment 
You have learned something new, 
The brain becomes invigorated through new challenges to imbue.

There are moments people pass
They are no longer there fighting our battles,
We miss them ever so dearly, as their lack of presence terrifying rattles. 

There are moments of humbleness
Especially when the ego kicks in,
Remember to say your prayers before you go to bed, and never forget the goodness you bring.

​Our Health is our foundation

Some say: “It’s my body, I do as I want.”

As we train our bodies to excess to keep us focused and humbly strong,

It’s looking after yourself by having a beautiful meal.

On the outside we may look fine,
But remember this life comes at moments at a time, 
Humble your hearts, pray to God and ye shall find.

Our health is kept at peace through the highest of high,
Remember, there is nothing bad breaking down 
As long we get another chance and keep our feet firmly on the ground.

​I like getting older,
You know why? Because I can’t go back in time,

McEnroe vs Bjorn..The summer of 1980

​it was the summer of 1980, they called it ‘Fire vs Ice’,
The occasion to savour and look to entice,
The fiery Mac got off to a flying start 
His aim to dethrone the Swede began by playing his part.

Then the American was looking to take two set lead, 
But then Borg upped his gear to force the hot headed American to plead.

The power of the game shifted
These two powerhouses of this era fighting to reign supreme,
These tennis players were both gracious and stern, and exposed like a tennis fans’ dream.

Back and forth, this is how the match went,
The fourth set was one to saviour for the ages,
Borg having match points but the American stood diligently strong,
This was a war of attrition as the winning line started to become longer and long.

The fourth set tie breaker no one could ever forget,
The strike of the tennis ball was hit hard and true, 
match and set points came and went,
The power struggle from these two majestic athletes unleashed an almighty vent.

It reached 7-6 to Borg and 15-40 on the American’s serve, 
Then he won his fifth SW19 title through a cross court which went roaring past,
This unfortunately was the Swede's last Wimbledon title, yet the memory from this match will unforgettably last.

I heard once people were going to trash a place,

Do we allow peoples noise be ours too?
Or would you blame the 60s brigade?
Or even blame ourselves for allowing it to continue?
You only make it a problem when you make it an issue!

You are only at peace when love hits your fears,
And I don’t mean be lovely dovey, that too has it challenges when that feeling eventually disappears.

People’s perception of you does not count,
It’s between you and God, where that feeling mounts.

So I end with the question which may never reveal an outcome to see,
In your heart, stay calm, love and simply be.

​one thing in life which is hard to accept
Is to love yourself, as now and again we reset. 

I won’t say much
And if I do, it shall have a meaning
I know there is an inner child which is scared and often seething.

But we push through
What choice do we have?

Often or not we would take the other road and get involved with that mix.

I write these words as they are therapy towards my heart,

There are nasty out there, so pray for them.. a time to refute you to feeling sad.

No turning back,
You make friends in a fractured world there’s plenty of goodness to extract.

Anger has no place in this world, 
I am now following God’s path, through this moment I have yield.

​I want a solution
Not a moaning glorified fix, 
I need to speak to God first, before someone throws a punch and delivers a hit. 

We need to get over ourselves 
All we need is a start that propels our new start, 
I balance my personality and emotions, and act it like a love of art.

I need to get over myself
So I speak to God and release my feelings, 
My heart already broken because I gave my life to him, 
I rather to pray to God, and then I shall release steam.

People need to know they are loved
They are no longer victims of their surroundings, 
They need to let go of the anger and past, because they can’t bring those moments back
Play the tape forward, that is life to hold onto.. so do not slack.

Why do I like sport?
It’s like passion, with the love and glory
And when all is won or lost, there is another opportunity to tell your story. 

You learn from wins and the losses
You learn from the glaring light, 
You learn through the combat, the victory is close and is within sight. 

You fight and you strategise 
You learn how to overcome opponents with guile and strength,
You come through a journey and refuse to hesitate and stand on the fence. 

You look win
Lose isn’t an option, despite occurring from time to time
You learn from these moments, elation is victorious for so long and to entwine.

and exercise to follow, 
It is best to release your feelings and exult that doesn’t swallow.

So release the hope you have inside

So love and continue to do so more 
This world is fractured enough as it is, so say your prays to the centre what is now sore.

So start with a glimmer of hope,
I know the world isn’t like that; but that’s the place we can all elope.

Where does the time go?
We blink, but time doesn’t hold back .. or neither go slow.

I thank and pray for all the people I have met,
I know time doesn’t stay still, or look to reset. 

Time is a wonderful thing,
It temporary and that moment doesn’t always stay,
May the heavens open in your heart.. and that is where time is eternal and shall always lay.

What I need to do today?

​I start with a prayer 
And then go to the gym to lift my spirit,
My desire comes from God, and all that comes within it.

I need me time 
That is what I find, 
It’s not being selfish, for me? Towards myself I need to learn to be kind. 

We are too busy talking 
And what the f@ck is that about,
You only tell the other person to ‘eff off’, the lead up to wanting to shout. 

Today I will be kind to me
I connect with people I want to,
Those who have too many questions, 
they need to back off, otherwise I will declare a mental health confession.

​Leave the drama behind,
They say that comes from effeminate types.. that’s what I find. 

The drama, and those who neefor chaos
To elevate the issue, which causes a a hearing and mind loss.

People are excitable 
They need a bit of tension,
They don’t care of others feelings or where they are in their lives
So personally I ignore them, no need to entertain their strife. 

Drama??? please 
Those people can f@ck off, I do not want to be apart,
I hone into my higher power, those people can leave me be, that’s where my recovery comes from…with a humble heart.

​What would you say to your drunken self?
Stick with it? Or go for your spiritual wealth? 

Would you say ‘poor you?’
Did I really have a clue?
Others say ‘go on, it’s all a laugh’
Until the morning after arrives, and your body has taken a battering, that moment where you were a bit harsh.

We looked for a release 
Tame the ugly beast of our damaged chaos,
Then end up going through a dangerous cost.

This is to the addict that you already are,
Looking into the skies with dreams that seem quite far.

So goodbye old you,
I am here to put in the work to get it right,
F&ck the old you away
That part of you that was never meant to stay.

​Learning?
Discerning?
Bring me towards hope;
And calm my head and heart,
Please Lord I needn’t depart. 

Some need to talk
Some want to walk, 
Some train with safety in mind 
Some need to take a chill pill, that’s what I find?

So as we grow 
We then start to familiar ourselves to know,
Making wrongs into right
Some people shall shed a light.

Learning each day 
That’s the point of this life, as when you stop you could be in dismay.

Shine your light through a prayer 
Learning is uplifting, think out of the box, rigidity goes nowhere.

​Be comfortable in silence 
A moment of comfort not searching defiance.

Be at peace with you,
You may be a talker or one to keep silent, 
We can’t always be in moments when we are vibrant. 

Show that silence is key 
In your heart be at peace with God, and allow yourself to be.

These words appear obvious and slightly relaxed, 
Don’t get caught up in the situation and look towards your affirmation. 

Be kind to you 
Say your prayers first each day, 
Be at peace with yourself, regardless of the place you are required to stay.

Diabetes addict

​I shan’t be the first 
I shan’t be the last, 
The alcohol addiction is a testing one for us diabetics, the one through will power is unable to last. 

People ask; “how can your addiction cope with an auto immune condition intertwined?”
It’s pretty difficult, the sugar in alcohol is cryogenic and falls as well as goes high, 
It’s through determination to live is the requirement to try. 

The alcohol plays a part as it relates to a chemical imbalance, 
The notion which it delivers requires your emotional talents. 

Technically I shouldn’t have entered on this road, 
But life throws challenges and now the cravings of sweet things also need a requirement to offload.

Learning the art

​Diabetes the phenomenal art
You learn to control your condition, which you hope from the very start. 

The hypos and hypers, the ultimate bane of our lives,
And the condition is so individual for each of us… especially when we wine.

I am organised, someone said this condition is structured for someone like me,
I thought “f@ck them” you have your feet and eyes tested on a daily basis, and the prospect that one you may not see.

I have learnt a lot from this intense condition, 
People thinking they know what do when in a hypo attack arises, 
I’ve had emotional limited people look at me when my blood sugars start to compromise.

I know I can pull through
As God is looking over me, 
One tip for the newly diagnosised people, f@ck people off if they don’t know how to react;
Because you are in charge now and now how to act.

​Write with freedom
Write what’s on you mind, 
Are you going to be rude? are you going to be kind?

The point is, this is therapy for you and I
I have had many laughs, and sometimes I want to go all out to yell and cry!

Write with love
Write with hope that you possess inside, 
Write even to offend, the release can deflect a demise. 

Write with hope in your heart
Write by calling that person a t@at, 
Be kind to yourself ultimately by writing, that is the journey I am looking at.

Nobody knows

​If there’s a certainty, there is a higher power looking over us
Not many things make sense these days, so what do in order to trust?

What do we know?
Especially those who talk for talk sake,
They are wasting oxygen when a prayer can open your heart after you spiritually break. 

What do we do when we don’t know?
Break down the question which removes you from the comfort zone, 
Leave it in God’s hands from the standpoint you shan’t feel alone. 

When I stop writing poetry 
There will be others you can follow to seek inspiration, 
As long I touch your heart for one minute, remember this comes from God’s elevation.

​To be honest life needs to go on
We all suffer setbacks, but love is where we seek to start becoming strong. 

To be honest love is the strength
Crying is the release to start getting better, 
We wonder how we got this designation, did we journal? or follow a letter?

Love is the kindness 
Love is what we need to unlock when facing trials and tribulations
We are better than we think, when we possess less hesitation.

We seek the light when we sit in the dark, 
We look towards our next move, through the pattern we embark.

Time we do not own but we can use it the best way we can
Remember you are never alone, so hold on my dear friend we can always refute a contraband.

There were moments

​There were moments I just wanted to give in
I wanted to side with the devil, but what would that achieve? A fickle win?

There were moments I wanted to say goodbye, 
Feeling I was getting old and no one cared as I wanted to cry, 
But you can’t give in, because you are here until the Lord says,
Then this is the moment to celebrate, whatever you achieved yesteryear or even today.

You focus on you
And your time with the Father that’s constantly around, 
You have gifts, so don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve, as this talent is profound. 

You may look tired within 
Wanting to reflect the time you have been here to keep going,
Pray to the father in heaven, that’s the place you need to keeping showing. 

This day belongs to you my humble friend,
Just say a prayer before you do anything, as our hearts through the Father we shall always ascend.

​At that time where you can look back
Fondly and assuringly, with kindness and love,

Time was never yours to own from the start,
It’s my time in prayer which holds me to excel and graciously depart.

We all have a history
We speak the words like it was the end of the world,
But God kept you here, as we lift from the moments we all once felled. 

Speak with love and aim for hope, 
For some this is all they have, don’t keep them dangling on a rope. 

Today belongs to you
Your day for all that it is worth, 
Say a prayer or do some exercises lose the pain, which we know as healing from the hurt.

Remember you were created by an almighty Father in heaven, and well done for coming this far.

​There’s a time for chaos

​I love these types… s@it stirrers
They do make me laugh, 
Passive aggressive… those sorts!
They try to embarrass you by looking at your faults. 

Don’t entertain it, 
People will try to provoke, 
I have been around too long to fall for it, you know? That type of bloke. 

I walk this journey and meet characters on the way,
You receive a bit of patter and then have your say. 

We are all characters 
People will always try their luck,

In my day

​In my day we had fun,
People were humble, and  did face their own ordeals,
Politics was better managed back then and sport brought many of us joy
I remember fondly as a little boy.

Yes there were the bigots who needed to be ‘called out’,
They weren’t very nice people, as now they would receive a much needed clout.

People made decisions and stuck to it,
Systems didn’t change all the time, 
People in power made mistakes, politicians will always philander… for goodness sake!

There was less technology 
And people engaged without a text, 
People did wind each other up, and it wasn’t put on social media to cause us to vex.

We loved and we cried
Humbled our hearts when someone famous died,
But today I say to people: “just chill”
The world will always have its fraughts, it’s just how we manage which is the almighty deal.

​What else can you do?
Feel sorry for yourself?
Yes, address the issues you have within,
But today’s want you need to start to rescind.

You are not alone,
This is England with healthcare galore,
Yes, we moan about the NHS, but that’s about politics and funding which is always sore.

Trying is the start,
Someone is going to work with you; 
God is in your corner, and focuses the balances you ensue.

Addictions is a killer
Anything overwhelming will always cause harm,
Then again the amygdala is the pinpoint that can take you that bit far.

Dont worry, today is your light 
The first step is the hardest to take,
Yes, there will be moments you will need to overcome and overcome an emotional break.

Look to your life, no matter how damaged you are,

Relatable

​There are people you can connect with
And others you can’t, 
They won’t get you, nor you with them,
Say a prayer and avoid to condemn.

Connection is key
It’s a factor where you are on the right path and through the others eyes able to see.

Don’t engage in conversation 
There’s no point to be proved, 
For myself it’s about connection, especially when a debater starts
Disconnect yourself from that person and that shall protect your heart.

People are people, they don’t need to be figured out,
Leave them be, 
It’s like that old saying:
“You can lead a horse to water, but ultimately it’s the other person to feel free.”

Tomorrow isn’t that far❤️

​My Dad
My best friend,
We didn’t start out as the best of mates,
Yes, we loved each other but we would often ingrate. 

He was my best friend,
The one I miss the most
When now as nonsense is said to me, 
I think of him to calm my feelings 
The world without him doesn’t sound appealing.

He is my best friend,
Well in spirit he certainly is, 
We went on a journey together in his last 15 to 20 years
When I think of him, I can hear his voice without any tremor or fears.

I said my last words to him at  10:00pm on the 16th May 2023
He was there pretty damaged and so tired,
But we were thinking of the times he got himself out of the gutter, recaptured himself and then became admired.

I miss him, I am sure we all do
I pray to be with him one day, as this time on earth is only borrowed.. yet we continue to pursue.

Life hasn’t turned out the way it should

​Life hasn’t turned out the way it should
People getting Ito wrong relationships and not bailing out, 
They feel compelled to hold onto something that may never happen
This is life after all, not a catwalk to parade the latest fashion!

Life is the walk
You didn’t ask to be here, 
But you look to move forward and deflect that moment of the face you fear.

Life is will get better, 
Not sure how, or when, 
Say your prayers, they so help, 
Otherwise, you seek frustration, and that leads to a yelp. 

Keep going forward,
Answers are always there to craft the outcome you and God want,
Today is another day to start living
Speak to your young or older self, that’s the spirit of giving.

Reminiscence

​Do you remember the day?
When phones weren’t the dominant vice, 
We spoke to each other, 
Had a laugh with out a device, and you focused on every now then….
I now focus on a book or the television 
A moment of escapism not a text that causes angst and mission.

Focus on you
Focus on art, 
Focus on how to have a laugh
Yes, that’s where the phone gets involved, streaming has helped but hasn’t entirely solved.

Meet someone 
Or pontificate on your worn with a good old book, 
Connection is important, and for some that can’t be with many,
My time with God is my ultimate focus, and that prayer arrives as plenty.

Be kind to you
F@ck what the world perceives what you need to portray,
You are beautiful, funny, lovely and charming
If others don’t agree… F@ck them, nothing in this world is that important where Sh@tstirs cause that issue which could be alarming.
