Grant me the wisdom to see the light

Grant me the strength to move past this fight.

Grant me the love to see this day through

Being present

Being present gives you calm

being present inflicts no harm,

being present where there are sirens and chaotic sounds,

being present can no longer hurt you so you can’t feel astound.

being present gives you inner peace

And doing absolutely nothing in the absolute least.

Being present showed willing and guile,

the art of giving up is a process too and can take a while.

Being present is a sign of hope,

being present no longer means you are on the ropes,

being present says there is someone somewhere watching,

and being present states you are no longer judging, implementing and no longer bossing.

Quiet is paramount

quiet can be relaxing,

Rebuilding is an art

Who to avoid in a hypo (Diabetes poem)

Who do you avoid when having a hypo attack?

a drama queen

a theatrical fairy

they can at least bring you some sugar and dairy.

Avoid those ‘overwhelming’ types,

regardless if they do come from a good place,

but please avoid them, because you shall insult them as their dramatic tendencies you needn’t trace.

The hypos are furious,

actually aggressive to the very core,

yes! You do go to the gym, but that’s on your terms nothing less…or more.

The diabetes is a killer so being stoic is a must,

If these fairies don’t understand this, then ‘egg’ them off.. and that’s coming from a place of trust… 🤣

I Thank the higher power for life

Do you remember the days

Do you remember the days we were a little more relaxed and sustained,

We embraced change, not like today, that’s deranged!

Remember, we didn’t have mobile phones,

progression is what they call it now,

I may be sending a message through this form

But once it wasn’t the norm.

we waited for TV programmes that came at a scheduled time,

our speed had its place and used when we needed too,

now we are fast at everything, quick wins they call it now, as patience now is quite a few.

There are prayers to rely on these days,

they are humbling and calm us down, as all shall be eventually okay.

People now turn to their phones and do not speak to each other,

I still miss the ol’ git

his dryness and determined grit.

He was my Mucker

The ultimate friend,

we weren’t mates at the start, he would kick my arse at the point which I couldn’t defend.

Then one day he saved my life

The most protective soul I’ve ever seen,

he wasn’t perfect by any means, but my love for the ol’ sod was pristine.

He would say ‘you know, what’s his name’ and ‘shamoo shamoo’

silly sayings I know, and to be honest I didn’t understand nor have a clue.

But this bloke who I am proud called Dad,

Consistency

I don’t proclaim to be God

that is the Father’s strength to endure,

I am a disciple of the only one

I am persistent, consistent and then feeling it some.

You are only as good as the last workout,

no truer word said

the aim is to be consistent until it’s time for God to say ‘child, lay your head’.

The time is grow

and you grow with persistence and love,

workout.. nothing shall be laid on a plate, grafting is more satisfaction

looking for consistency is based on wholes and slender fractions.

Consistence is the aim to keep pursuing,

stagnation won’t help anyone, through poor habits you may be choosing.

Those were the days

For fun as played marble or tapped each other and said “he!”,

these were the 80s the days when challenges were different but there was a sense to feel free.

We had ‘Tiswas’, ‘Multi coloured swap shop’, when toys or items were exchanged for pleasure and for fun

we had communities back then, not this division that we have now, therefore these were the times which we have won.

There was ‘live aid’ and Grange Hill,

plus there was pop music which had an upbeat and vocal sounds,

I was blessed to witness this era for what was around.

There were stigmas, no era is ever perfect,

we spoke to each other on the red box telephones,

we didn’t have the internet or whassup or emails like they do now

these were special times for which I take a bow.

These times were timeless… and did I forget to say they were ‘okay’!

life is so precious as I can speak from my heart,

moments which elevate memories which I now shan’t depart.

We don’t need reminding

We don’t need reminding

we committed the act ourselves,

letting ourselves down in the situation, from being over excited to eventually falling down

leaving us with a frown.

we are friends, disappointment and haste,

but learning to move forward isn’t a waste.

so we messed up!

haven’t we all,

we are allowed to move forward and eventually one day stand tall.

we are good at putting ourselves down,

doesn’t the world do that to us;

‘cruel to be kind’ they call it? Those words can effectively crushed.

and hear the obviously sounding people go away,

so reflect and start again

This life is to be enjoyed

yet things can get in the way,

Drink or drugs for example?

they only have there temporary vice

they appear great at the time, and appear very nice.

People do come into your life, but they also need to leave;

it’s through your higher power is when you begin to believe.

There will always be something good that comes from something sad,

it’s a bizarre reaction but you won’t feel at all mad.

You see, you are the voice of your own reason

you simply stop and speak up high,

Chaos surrounds us

some people just don’t like peace,

some say that they do, but then say they need activity in the mind

I remain still, the chaos can take me to that dark place.. I find.

Some need the angst

the cortisol which releases the stress,

I can sense we need all things to make us alive

this is your life after all, the ageing can leave barely you to remain survive.

Chaos is always there

there is also a higher power,

something that taps into your head, soul and heart

Remember, you can be humbled, words can destroy or either bring you to a great new start.

Chaos can leave

people who have headaches better beware,

when the tables are turned, then the counter punch is always there 😉.

How firm is your faith?

Do you anger towards the time that you cannot control which causes waste.

Do you love God?

Do you shine your light?

that quality alone has plenty of fight.

Life is a massive maze

we ask so many questions, therefore lean towards a blinded craze.

Look to God when all seems lost

Jesus was the one who died for us on the cross.

Don’t take my word for it..

leave it to the highest of high

and may you repent in Christ

a strange title to any poem,

actually it’s about Andreas Andrews, my Dad..

don't worry my story doesn’t starts or end sad.

you see, he was my light

well in the end, at the start we fought like cat and dog,

I often ended as runner up, like in the smog?

he is the first person I say to at the start of the day,

not excluding the Father in heaven, he shall never be in the way?

Dad, an interesting character to say in the least

but he was a lovable character who was a protector who you really didn’t want to release.

I think of him at the start of the day

From the moment I wake up, until I go to bed

Airn't we allowed to speeak our truth?

you may not like the opinion that falls on your ears, 

Looking outside the box can often release many fears. 

 

How do we  learn?

By thinking things through and accepting certain points of others

Judgement is so prevalent in this world that we live,

I am more of a pray warriors, love is what I prefer to give. 

 

I care, 

and I love, 

is that too complicated in this regulatory world?

we struggle with a balanced conversation during these unprecedeneted times

we struggle with life, which causes us to wine.

 

Love is the answer

and love is the key,

oneday we shall live the passage said in Romans 8:18

and learn to be together and humble our minds through these radical times of debate.

Find a method to lift your soul

stop trying to overthink, just let things go.

Yes, you may be an example of a child who’s in need

but you require support too to allow yourself to feed.

Don’t forget you were created for a purpose

despite the falls you have endured

you are a warrior in your own right, one who aims to become secured.

Be the best person you can be

be the best version of what God set you to do,

There is no recipe, just a prayer and follow the Father’s path

learn to be kind to yourself and try not to be harsh!

Remember, you are a creation to move forward and not back

Think about it, you can’t replace the moment which has passed

you learn to slow down… and avoid the impatience to become fast.

You can’t blame yourself!

There are reasons for falling

addictions lead to tears when we are bawling.

We wonder how we got to ‘that’ place

Needing the moment to lead you to a path

But instead you are facing a wrath.

Remember, you have gifts, you have lost yourself at this moment in time

I never knew who I was then, for a nickel or dime.

Addictions can be trauma, celebration or new place to find

We are entering into scary moments when we look to become refined.

You see, life is love

Love is life,

life will always pose a struggle

and it’s undoubtably you shall get into a muddle.

Please, whatever you do look to the tears that leave your face

Humility of confession did start through some haste.

Do you need to rush?

Time, something none of us can own

me, I am useless, I can be quick and I can be slow.

I need patience

And speed won’t help with that,

thinking on your feet is an acquired skill

the quick movement for some can be a anticlimax thrill.

the need to hear others speak

is something that needs it place when you aim to seek.

You go to a place where you so laugh so hard,

the chaos of others overwhelms no end

there isn’t a place to look towards and find to descend.

The road is evident

guardians are not looking to restrain,

Can’t there be peace in people’s hearts especially where turbulence isn’t possible to refrain.

Yes, there needs to be noise

But also a level of peace,

the balance of the soul needs to tame the edgy beast.

Hello world, here for another day
I should start with my prayers, but then the drink got in the way, 
I tried to focus, I tried to stay on top
"Pull yourself together!" I would say to myself 
Actually I craved the taste, the feeling and thought it brought me wealth!

Don't take me literally, 
the 'wealth'  word was telling me I didn't care,
actually, I didn't, all I wanted was my Father back,.....so there. 

You see the drink or drug can get you any way it wants
It's down to us to focus on the higher power, and remove any further haunts.

I write from the heart because God said I can,
I am praying for you guys always, especially from where I stand

Grace of God

When low, God find you

you shout asking the Father ‘why?’

you look for a miracle as the tears start to manifest when to start to cry.

By his grace God does provide,

So look to the hope he brings to our heart,

And through his grace and mercy which is merely the start.

the challenges will be faced, the scathing from the moments that are retained.

The grace is poured inside of you when you accept God is so good,

And may the heavens open in your heart, just like son of the Father would.

Every day I start with a prayer

Political correctness… What’s that🤣?

Every generation faces its chaos

And today everyone is far too serious,

you can’t say anything without it being politically challenged,

So I refuse to speak to those people, who are not worth talking too through the cause of their damming.

There are too many serious people in the world

They can f&sk off, they do my head in

I love going to the gym and life heavy weights to build the arms

I rather turn the other cheek, but sometimes I want to do them some harm.

I am pleased God is in my corner, especially when people are far too serious

They take themselves too seriously, so I rather pray for them from afar

I am now in my room, writing these words rather than getting a drink at a bar.

Hold my hand

Even though I am not with you, these words may give you sight

I pray to God and give him thanks, that’s my political correctness, as I rather be with light minded people, who do not bite.

In a world that embraces in chaos

people like that can steer clear away from me,

No amount of money with that in your life can set you ever free.

Yes there is laughter

there is also joy,

but the brain is a fragile part of the body,

that brings detriment to the mind, which to me is kind of shoddy.

listen to music which brings an uplift of love

not this frantic chaos, that I prefer to nudge.

When you hear that word ‘grace’ what does that mean to you?

praying to God and he will show favour

and presented with a shining hope through an almighty saviour.

The word is majestic

full of hope and true will,

there is always light through God, that should be everyone’s kind of place.

Don’t worry, God has got you

We have all failed in life, but the aim is to pursue.

Many won’t believe in the higher power, or what the ‘good book’ says

I am not from that ilk, I am just encouraging you, the higher power shall always keep our focus to stay.

We are there to win

Not there to lose,

we are there to inspire one another, so if you are encouraged, that it graciously and don’t feel bemused.

We are here to have a kingdom to lean towards

A kingdom that provides eternal hope, no pain and simply joy,

These words are edification in a world that’s so fraught and the words we deploy.

Do we need to talk politics?

Can’t we simply be at peace and show love,
