Personally I rather ignore them and look for a solution

Often Riles my spirit, as fights are often the outcome  and sign.

I prefer praying and act kind

The waffle of gossip causes anxiety whereby  something i prefer to avoid,

I personally think it’s a networking tool, to greet.

And being positive done formal talks have their place

As long there is a motive and as long there is a case. 

The public sector has these discussions 

Which leads to a separate talk

Why did we meet in the first place, I sigh

Then again the best feeling at the end of some meetings, is a goodbye..

The focus in what interests us is easy to do,

Passionate about the subject and enjoy to invest

Yet it’s the issues that don’t interest us but we have to endure

Isn’t that the successful quests we need to secure.

Diabetes.. the maths

Type 1 is mathematical fun 

You need to workout the food you are ready to eat 

Then test your sugars, to balance the feat.

Say you have 30 grams of carbs in a portion

That’s 3 units of insulin to inject, 

One unit, lowers blood by 2 to 3 millimoles,

And you need to regard the correction if sugars are high

They need to be accounted for, to maintain the sign. 

So if your reading is 6.5 

All you need to regard is the food you digest

Walking the faith is a dream come true

I never thought I go there

Our work place like many others have a character or two

Some may be offended by this poem

But then again, I am blinkered, and don't have a clue.

Some appear happy but say the word “oh, oh”

Meaning they are wind up merchants, quick to disperse 

Then again, the sound of their voices could be chapter and verse.

 Some always smile and do not believe in the political chat

They are often friendly and productive 

Not work shy  to do tasks they need to do

They are often a humble and yet a forceful drive dude.

So I ignore the idiots 

And smile at those less fickle 

None of us are perfect and we need to reflect on that

Drink alcohol, or a warm cup of tea

Love thyself, especially when glory sets you free.

Never give up hope despite the demands we constantly face

Cost saving here, and cost saving there 

The essence of health is to show that we all care.

We try to apply logic 

We try to apply basic sense

The sign of the times are now fast

Challenges await as we aim to make the health service last.

Keep on trying 

Keep on staying focus on the goal.

We moan and groan about the work we hold

We need to feel human 

That’s what the patients heart must feel, a deal.

What we do….

To commission health is no easy task

We are experts in our field as longevity can involve the past.

Patients and providers have a national demand

We are looking to balance the purse to do right thing

Health is an option which focuses on the sting.

The last verse echoes the craziness we need to endure

We look to move forward in this never ending quest,

Balancing the books with a health need arrives with a story

The aim to help a patient, isn’t always about glory.

Focus on the future

Health services come in all shapes and forms,

The idea to look after the health purse string

Isn’t entire the system that is a sting.

We make this happen with due diligence and passion

Knowing money is not always there,

Does not mean we as commissioners do not care?

So focus the harmony embraced

The health population needs to be managed with humility and essence

Understand the need and balance the treatment like frienaisance.
