Health Challenges to reform

Managing health is one of the hardest things to do,

Wear and tear of a body which you try to protect

Learn from your humble and try to reflect.

I have condition which I need to manage day to day

Type 1 diabetes I need to manage

Making sure my intake of food and insulin, does not damage.

 

I aim to be positive and I aim to do right from wrong

I attempt to be strong with exercise and ample of guile

These are attributes which sustain my health for such a long while.

Be nice to your body,

It’s the only one you have

Trials are a pain when faced with a condition to manage

Like I said before, don’t go to extreme and elevate the damage.

Yes.. there shall be times when I am low and I feel “why did this happen to me?”

Yet with mindfulness, exercise and strong spirit to pertain

I like to embrace my challenging health condition, which I humbly sustain.

There was once...

Once I looked to the stars 

And asked the question

Losing focus and thinking it’s only me.

I am now blessed and have direction,

Yes, like us all I have my bad days 

But most are good

My over sensitivity is now protected by the lord

Hand on my heart and prevalent sword.

I could stay cynical

I could be angry and say “why me”

Yes there are days of fierce words that are thrown 

I rather look to the lord, rather than have a moan.

This isn’t necessary a point to prove

Just an interpretation to what I see and feel,

I rather stay positive and relish in the zeal 

Exercise and drink

Both have  release Dopamine,

A good feel factor 

From A sip of a beer and a lift from a weight,

Both release the same result 

Yet to compare the aftermath to excess 

Doesn’t give the feeling to being blessed.

Both in moderation 

We all know the sheer facts,

Turn left and turn to the right 

Both acts won’t go away

It’s your destiny to balance the pyramid 

As it’s your life we want to do best

Hence the trials to come through unnecessarytest.

Once I lifted 100 kilos at the gym 

and then went to drink excessive beer,

I wasn’t scared to do both to release the endorphins

But if I kept it up I would enter the realm to recover from diamorphine.

I speak to the lord 

He only wants what’s best,

I try to focus the mind 

And prevent that place that almost made me blind.

“Be good to your body and the results have a good turn”

There was a time..

There was a time I would sit at a bar

Drinking beer to release my woes

But what I was doing was finding new foes.

Everyone to their own

We all have a right,

But don’t harm your soul to excess

The human condition doesn’t need to feel any less.

I did what I did 

And live with what was done,

I was harming my body 

Assuming this was the way forward to having fun.

We do what we need to do 

To release these happy chemicals 

Is the focus to capture

Yet the outcome enters you into unhealthy rapture.

Stay focused in faith 

Love the lord until the end 

For our father is beautiful 

Well, that’s what I depend x x
