What truly matters

What truly matters is peace of mind

To find all possibilities which are kind.

Not all questions have answers

As sometimes there is a ‘full stop’,

Finished, next task and where the time has a filling plot.

What matters is positivity, love and joy

Not “I don’t know answers” that have no purpose to enjoy.

Stay with kind positive souls

Look to their hearts, which you detect is there,

In your heart there is a spirit that wants to care.

And if you don’t care, then that’s okay

Just don’t be nasty, so only gel with those who get you,

There is a journey awaits for which you can pursue.

Love

Hope and rejoice

The world we live in speaks volumes through God’s voice.

No one understands the questions

People say: “don’t listen to me, I don’t know what I am saying.”

So why have an opinion or question if these words are not part of your praying?

So leave me at peace

My mind needs gentleness of mind,

I don’t need ambivalence in my attempt to capture the right thing to find.

There are people who want to help

But truly, do they know the answer of the ultimate outcome?

We are humbled in peace, love and prosperous love from the Father’s son.

Common sense

So if you pray, what do you receive? 

A person who is blinkered? Or some who receives the spirit in order to believe?

Taking your time so you don’t trip up,

Or a person who says: “don’t listen to me, I don’t know what I am saying?” 

Yet they antagonise, with answers that are fraying..

Stay comfortable and learn what’s around 

There is balance in answers that need no addition, just a simple ‘full stop!

It’s emotional intelligence, that stops this unnecessary rot.

Immaturity from adults, this isn’t what it’s suppose to happen

Blindness in faith which is blinkerness that you are supposed to spiritually trap them. 

So what are the benefits when childish behaviour comes from woman and man?

That’s why we aim to seek God, for what is the truest and humble plan.

There is a prayer

“Please look at me”

The Father in heaven is saying that,

One day we shall be together, a family as one

You are never alone, through the eyes of the spirit and the son.

The speed of life is unneedy

The turn around of work is quick and can cause a thirst,

Ultimately you can lose yourself through the money and its penetrable burst.

The aim is to love God, and aim to stay with him daily

We have fallen short to achieve his wants, yet the love of him should never become waning. 

Look to the skies, stop for a minute

None of us are perfect but we look to God for that final push

So listen, pray and turn the other cheek as the strength comes from that ‘human’ spirit that says “sush.”

Thank you for your friendship

Thank you for the laughs 

Thank you for your tears, 

Thank you for the advice, even somethings they landed on deaf ears!

Thank you for your love

And thank you for your hugs,

Thank you for your humility, through the defences I needed to trust.

Not advising, and simply listening 

I feel humbled by that, through moments I felt I was getting dismissing.

Thank you for being there

I appreciate when you have done that from time to time,

Even if at times I come across as stoic and wanted to be left alone,

Music.. life’s food

There are songs that hit the mood

“Here comes the sun” which got us in the groove.

There was “Suspicious minds” which the King sang with grace,

Harmonising with passion, that had a sense and a place. 

There was “Lovely day” sang by a guy call Bill Withers,

Words of excitement, that did not procrastinate or dither.

These were songs with charm and love

Not the angst which the media narratives shove.

There was “through the barricades” which hit the soul

And there is also gospel music, which all are welcome to rejoice and simply glow.

I feel asleep after blood sugars dropping

The grimace of a hypo attack that you need to be stopping. 

The sweats appear 

The words: “I couldn’t live with that”

Those are negative words for those I call Pratts.

Sorry for the harsh words

But empathy is required, 

A prayer and cure I would truly resonate 

As the mentality to manage ensure you cannot hesitate.

Take your time 

Breathe when recovery is required,

The art of the condition isn’t for the fainted heart, and those who endure can only be admired.

Here’s my soul

A light shines 

The movement of man, 

Balance needs to be restored. As for chaos? Well I am not a fan.

But complacency needs to be prohibited 

The light of God is the only way through,

Leading the light from the Father, the passage we look to pursue.

Restore your strength my listening to your body, heart and Father’s soul

If you continue in man’s strength, you will inevitably go that bit slow.

Stay with prayer

Connect more with God,

Humble hearts remain still in the stress that piles your way

Looking to the Father, like when the baby Jesus was born on the hay.

Here today 

Gone the next, 

These are not despondent words on pen and paper, or even a time consumed text.

People will come, and some do leave,

Even family members; who too be fair can be quite immature and have something up their sleeve.

Don’t be hard on yourself if you refuse to talk to ones you love,

If the connection isn’t there then remember then don’t be hard on yourself, and refuse that nudge.

Kindness never leaves 

But words are weapons and can be put to the sword, 

But remember through prayer, the outcome needs to avoid anything untoward.

They are words for words sake,

Yes, they can be provoking, I rather make a sugar free cake. 

The words for words sake

What is the point? 

Words leads to difference of opinion, and what’s that saying? “For arguments sake” 

Bloody hell, give others peace towards a recovering break. 

If you need to argue, speak to someone: “who gives a s@#t”

I rather pray to God for answers, that’s my alignment which I see fit…

Talking is healthy if things get on top

But debate which brings others to the edge, 

My head is already filled with words, this sort of conversation I rather not pledge.

Be at peace 

No words need to be said,

Yes, people will enjoy company, I find comfort from a book instead. 

There is a journey we are all waiting to face 

A place we cannot wait to reach,

The heavens await, for what the son of man did preach. 

There is calm in peace

There’s no loneliness on this page that you see,

Start with a simple prayer for you and others, see where that will take you to be?

Pray…

Don’t say: “knowing my luck”, that’s victim behaviour at its worse, 

Remember you are a child of God initially, through him you shall be protected from any sort of curse.

Friendship

I love my friend

A person I truly respect, 

They listen to me  and want nothing but the best,

Why? Clearly because I need no further harm and require that ample zest.

I love my peace 

And my own company, which I shall never lose,

I am peaceful within myself

as I am with God in my heart as well as my tired head.

My secret is safe with them, as the world has already treated me at a level of absurd.

When that day comes

Don’t worry for me

God has managed my time, 

As long as I pray to the spirit, there is always something else to find. 

My Dad, Yiayia (Nan) and auntie are there waiting. 

On this earth we talk that nonsense called ‘politics’, what a piece of time to be wasting. 

We don’t need to hear those words “ for arguments sake” 

I can’t be bothered with that, 

An open discussion without answers or suggestions, that act I rather not retract. 

I am waiting to be with them 

I truly cannot wait when the son of God arrives, 

I know I haven’t been perfect, but through that hope I shall thrive.

It’s always the way

“Knowing my luck” or “why me?”

There’s a theme when things do go bad, when you are unable to see.

The door is closed 

Which means soon the other one shall open,

Looking for hope through God, 

There is a time you look left and right and await his nod.

But don’t know when,

I know I am not perfect, but you are indeed great. 

It’s all about timing

The nicest set of words you shall ever hear

Not one of those judgements: “he said and they said” which is childish I honestly fear.

The words are humble and defuse the stress we currently live,

I hope you are in God’s team, which is a blessing to spiritually give. 

There are heights you shall never fathom 

There are conquests you need to constantly face,

Speaking to God is my kind of embrace. 

Today is a new day

Start it with a prayer for a person facing struggles,

I am perfectly humble in my own company with the Father… NOW who can call that a muddle?

I need my solace 

I need no gossip which others could release,

I avoid negativity tremendously, I am into calmness… and not the beast. 

I am into optimism 

and avoid the angst of others dramas,

The hope of love and the lead of perennial laughter.

There is a time to love one another 

And I don’t mean in a verse like someone’s lover.

No one to argue with 

No one to cause you a headache when all you want is peace,

The place of humility when sitting with the Father holds you near,

When you walk with him there’s no way looking back,

There’s a chapter in your life you can excel through when the heavy load has been stacked.

There is a light

There will be challenges to endure,

Pray and draw closer to only what the Father can

One safe day with no worries to look back at.

Not everything needs to be work or involve lots to do

It can come with a relaxed mind and an aim to pursue.

Tomorrow we travel

The road long, short or possibly wide,

As long there is prayer in our hearts, there’s no reason to subside.

I think life is short

Yet the road can feel that little bit long,

Prayers for a safe travel; that’s the destination we all ought to be on.

Travel with calm

Travel with peace,

Travel with humility, close your eyes and learn to simply release.

When you leave people

When you leave people, there is a reason

So you look towards hope,

To the father, the three in one

The only calling that you need, and the balance waiting to come.

There is a time and place

Ambivalent messages said to provoke the mind,

Those people I rather be distant with, and say nothing to, that is the peace where God can make you find.

People could gear for a debate 

In some senses that could be healthy, or in others quite wearing,

“Chat, chat and chat” I rather not hear in the essence where issues in the mind may cause that bit of fearing.

Stay with God 

Stay with conversations for where you don’t over speak one another,

Not my form of communication for which I need in my heart  

God has the answers, that’s where I choose to start.

Sometimes people are there for a reason 

And eventually stay continuously, or just for a season. 

It can be a curse when you hold onto the past

One thing for certain these things won’t always last.

Don’t have that ‘bee in your bonnet’ to hurt your soul,

Stubbornness can be productive when used in a balanced manner

Humble your spirits with the enforcement of a huge hammer.

Living through prayer

Love is love

Hate has no way in,

The devil hasn’t got a chance 

Alcohol or other addiction isn’t the way to truly win.

But life takes over

People can and will let you down,

And sometimes you let them down too

If life had a miraculous recipe, where there’s possibly one or two clues.

Praying is the way forward

Light lifts the soul when darkness lurks,

I have been ready to die years ago, that’s my entitlement I find; or perhaps that’s God’s works.

Praying is rejuvenation 

Prayer is adulation when blessings hit the heart,

If others question and question and say they don’t know what they are saying…

Ignore them, it’s only God you need to be obeying.

It’s starts with a drink

It’s starts with one

Then the mood relaxes,

Yes, I may have been going to the gym 

But in the long run I am walking into cardinal sin. 

Back in 2020, I was living my best covid life

Working from home and a run in the morning to get the good juices out,

I started to bring back some beer as I thought a treat was due, or there abouts.

Then there was the pain of losing others, which took its toil,

And there were people who didn’t want to help…but never said, 

A controlling maternal figure whom I refused to have embed.

The drink increased 

The gym was still there to attack,

I did pray to God first, but the drink inside I didn’t ever want to slack.

Now here in 2024 I wondered what hell went wrong?

Losing my Dad and distancing myself… again

I rather fight this with God… my ultimate friend.

You want to feel important

But you are in the Father’s eyes,

Don’t feel too obligated; or you shall get a startling surprise.

God loves you

Through every step of the way,

You shall have your feelings, but the Father does have the final say.

Stay prayerful 

Look to Faith as a guide,

The best conversation is with the Father, which you never feel the need to surmise.

Stay humble

That shall provide you with the ultimate love.

The dream world you live in could be real if you choose it to be,

And love in God, you shall become peaceful and free.

Close your hands, and put your hands together 

The turbulence you are facing shall eventually calm through saying thoughtful words

The Devil’s words can be trickery and can often disturb.

Say kind words

Hold yourself together with goodness in mind,

Be humble towards your heart and allow the essence of prayer to show what is true and kind.

Pray for the lonely

Pray for the truly weak

Pray for those who need to know the great news

and their paths shall never become bemused.

Pray for those who want distance 

Pray for those who cry when others need their peace,

Pray for those who still bombard others with messages, and that need to cease.

People like to help

Or you would like to think? 

Then again the purpose of life is to live and learn

And argumentative conversations which I rather defer.

Forget heated debates

I couldn’t give a damn about those political views,

I rather talk about sport and aspirations, and the aims to pursue. 

We are always learning 

Throw in a comment to turn darkness into light 

You are never truly alone, as reflection of humour over comes the fight. 

People’s speedy thoughts can cause an irrational view

Common sense always prevails, where lies can make you blinkered and feel awfully blue.

It’s about good people

And the paths we look to take, 

You can be someone’s well wisher, as distance can be a well needed break.

Time floats by 

And sometimes you ask; where has the time lapsed?

Reflecting on prayer and speaking with the Father who is way up high,

Focus on the present day, and what happens, shall happen, as you stop, reflect and perhaps shouldn’t ask why? 

Look towards your faith

Look to your source to raise your spirits in your heart,

Speaking to God is continuous, 

As well as humble and fastidious. 

Time has its place

And if it’s not worked out for the best,

Remember there is always another time you shall face another one of God’s humble tests.

Yes we do live in hostile times?

Aren’t we meant to pray and relax to humble our minds.

Optimism is healthy

Focus through the anger, isn’t always the best?

A jokey poem

When you heard the words “always look on the bright side of life”

Then there is hope when others attempt to bring you strife…

You tend to hear those words:”Don’t listen to me, I don’t know what I am saying”

Then again you can ignore that remark and instead have a couple of beers,

At least you can be merry and work through the 1980s music that made you have a laugh and also bring on a few tears.

I see the world for what it is 

Look at it with anger, or self doubt, I lift my spirit by taking the piss.

I don’t care for the “don’t knows” or pay checks that once sustained my merger life,

I rather have a fun comment to hear to balance the others who wanted to wind up and cause that little bit of strife.

There were fun words that may be filled with expletives 

Crass comments and politically defeatist.

At the end of the day

We are hear one minute, gone the next,

Have a laugh, at least once a day,

Tell the serious ones…to go away🤣🤣🤣.

Looking for hope is what most of us want,

Achieving the possible during impossible times

Looking for happiness and kindness to find.

Avoiding the alcohol

When trying to relax the mind,

God is always with you, you may see despite the thought of feeling blind. 

We do have time for each other 

It’s only about relaxing the mind,

Stop putting pressure on yourself, learn for yourself to become kind. 

These acts are so simple 

Yet aspirations are often there,

Stay with God, he is always free to speak too… and does consistently care.

Talking for talking sake is gossip in the air,

I appreciate someone could be concerned, but then again I rather not let gossipers to glare!

I use to say to God: “Why me?”

I can’t wait to see God for good

Words are like weapons

They are so often we can be misconstrued,

One minute you are pleasant, the next you can be seen as rude. 

Words have an impact 

That have all due cause affect, 

The danger of these contentious words, often don’t allow the situation to reset.

It’s about connection 

It’s about views and respect,

The latter helps an affable debate , rather than snapping at someone due to your own self state.

Ultimately it’s all about love

But distance is often the key when connection isn’t there,

Hold God close to you, that’s the path we all should share.

Yes we need to unite

And as God’s soldiers, we shall overcome the spiritual fight.

Tomorrow will have a chance

You just need to be patient and wait for it to arrive,

Those who are pessimistic, avoid them… they need their own battle to survive.

If you speak negative, then what outcomes do you expect?

Yet the Father in heaven is the one through his Son became beautifully perfect.

The plan won’t go smooth

And if it has? allow the passage to be

We are all in this together, but sometimes you’ll have to let go of a few mates as when the prodigal does return… we shall become free.

Seasons come and friends do leave

As long you have God in your heart, you shall always receive.

There’s a time to hold strong 

And there’s a time to let go,

Sometimes words are said, which makes you process further and where you shan’t go slow.

Hold your counsel 

Avoid nonsensical words which try to provoke,

I am a man too working out his next move

I speak to God first, the others who intervene… shall be removed.

These words are to manage your counsel 

That’s all you can do,

If gossip is your master, then I am out of here, and just like Superman…. I shall eventually flew.

Sitting here with a pint

Watching the world go by

You have done your bit as I now reflect and refuse to sigh. 

I rather be a optimistic 

Pessimism takes you to a negative place,

Procrastination has a bitter and twisted taste.

I want to stay calm

I choice to be in a good place, 

Conversations of negativity are ungodly and shouldn’t even become embraced. 

The world is full of opinions and aims for tasks to deliver 

The A.I. system did not pit this poem together through the human connective mind 

The essence of imperfections, is that we all aim to seek and find.

Helping others in need

It’s takes a special team or person to help others that are in direct of need, 

I can only pray the recognition from where we all can feed.

Imagine having no money to simply feed you, or your family?

Where do you turn when there’s no food to eat or clothes to put on your body? 

These guys are magnificent and attempt to make sure you walk away from the hub as ‘somebody’.

The help and devotion is second to none

They mix it up and enjoy the aim to support others in tremendous need,

It’s all about care and love, and not that other word greed’.

So I end on this, caring is the aim

And giving is what we do,

Spreading the care equally across a community to give someone hope 

It’s from the heart, which is the act which we all ought to hold.
