Into the light

​Into the light
That’s the place to reach,
Live for today, listen to the sermon teach. 

Look to your higher power 
I am not into ‘argument sake stuff’,
I know through the Father I am ‘work in progress’ and simply ‘enough’. 

So pray and let it all leave you 
Don’t suppress, the heart isn’t deceive through pain,
Love your enemies as it’s time to regain. 

Stop rushing and stay still
Time belongs God, and it’s through the spirits way
In the end the Father has the final say.

Gratitude list

​everyday I say these 4 things:
“Thank you God for another day”
“Thank you for the strength you offer, especially when I felt weak when my health struggles to stay.”

“I thank you for allowing me to surrender to you when I thought all appears lost”
I thank you humbly, as your son died on the cross.

“I thank you for teaching me, when I thought I knew it all”
You acknowledge me when I am happy.. and sad, especially when I call.

“Thank you for the air that fills my lungs”
Small mercies not all of us tend to respect, when I am humbled and often succumbed.

Love for today…

​If it’s the last thing to do.. so love
Peace in heaven and leave to the skies above. 

Love today as tomorrow will still be there 
I know there are others who are praying and genuinely care. 

I don’t have my s#it covered 
Love to the clouds and the stars,
Remember those who gave you a chance through the care coming through their hearts.

Today is promises so write a gratitude list down 
You are a child of God after all, so please turn that frown into a grin
Through the blood of the higher power, are you ready to rebirth and win…?

We are all capable…

​You won’t appreciate people until they leave
Those words I honest feel and humbly receive.

The show must go on
I know that is most cliche, 
People just incase in their own thoughts, 
‘It’s not always about ‘I’ it’s about ‘we’
Look at others gifts and celebrate what you see.

People who can’t accept a compliment 
Tell them to embrace the words said to them at that ‘moment in time’, 
Nothing is always perfect, and neither can we be..? that’s what I find.

Embrace the resilience you have 
And if you feel you have limited resolve, you may be surprised… just allow the other person to solve.

Times in the rooms

​I wondered what on earth was going on?
What happened in this life where something went horrifically wrong?

I did believed in God
Who else have we got?
The ‘12 steps’ came at a time where something wasn’t working and you felt you were about to rot. 

I knew this was killing me, but did I really care?
Hope was so far away, as I was stepping on eggshells which didn’t appear fair.

Some people are strong for you on your journey 
Some are too fractured and working on their own will, 
You simply need to surrender to your highest power, the Father in heaven who refutes you to kill. 

You see, the rooms are powerful
They say: “compare the similarities, and DO NOT focus on the differences”
Absorb those words and try to take feeling from that
This new journey of sobriety is the path we are all looking towards hope… especially in the moment you were looking at.

Waiting for his return.. tick tock.. tick tock. 

I am here 
Right now, 
Present for the moment, no accolade to achieve 
Look inside your heart.. simply believe. 

Do what works for you
Don’t listen to anyone else.. just God,
The road is yours to discover
I love you.. my sister and brother. 

I am not perfect 
and neither are you, 
Accept that.. 
yes you shall try your best everyday
Humble your heart first, the blessing shall pave their way…

Love has always won.

​Think about it?
Love wins
It wasn’t suppose to be easy
This feeling of emotions running high
Will lead to a separation when either of you eventually dies. 

Think about it?
Love has always won,
It can be done through deep thought and remove any moments which are glum.

Love wins
It’s has never lost, 
It was the almighty who for our sins died on the cross.

Love wins…
There is now question that’s under untrue, 
At the end of the day… it has always been that conversation.. between the Father and you.

Today and everyday

​I love you… where the past needs to be left alone
Yes, you will remember some of the moments, and sometimes you want to throw a brick or a stone. 

I hope you are well
On this merry day, 
The sun is out and the love is there,
Sometimes I look to the skies and wonder why on earth I am here?

I know I write poetry, 
And the gym I give it my all, 
I know tomorrow is another day which isn’t promised, but I rather be in heaven than aim to fall. 

But falling is part of the plan
How do we learn?
When your knees are on the floor, 
There are good people in this world, especially when God has always left open the door.

Butterflies🦋

​Love you my Deborah, 
I can have the honour seeing you everyday, 
I pray for you and the children those these precious moments which shall stay.

As one day we shall all meet in Zion
And seek the strength which comes from protective Lion. 

I  can see the butterfly 
A Caterpillar breaking into something so young and beautiful,
A moment of realisation and ever so dutiful.

You see…. I love you
These words aren’t mean’t to make you cry,
I am here in the promise land through moments that I knew one day I shall say goodbye.

Today I am happy, 
Stay with me and never let go
So continue to pray with Julianna, George and Jeremiah
I know you are humbled in spirit as these emotions are God’s love which always runs higher.
